Considering Sony disabled the additional NVMe storage slot in the PS5 out of the box and have the audacity to auto-void your warranty just for opening the damn thing to get to it, I would need a year's worth of Morton's (and their income) to trust anything from them at face value.

While I could be wrong on this one, Steve from Gamers Nexus also did a video about the thermals of how the PS5 operates with the resources they were able to (without risking damage to the internals anyway), attaching some thermocouples here and there to measure temps, and they mentioned it as a side point in their video.
