So I've got this strange issue. I was trying to boot atmosphere and got the following error "a fatal error occurred when running atmosphere"

After this, I popped my SD card into the PC and it said something to the effect of "the sd card needs to be formatted, it has an unreadable format"

So I pop the sd card back into the switch and run archive bit fixer, no issues (and it manages to properly show the correct folder trees)

Hmm starting to get confused, so I pop back into pc and run dskchk, no issues (accurately states how much data is taken up, how much is free etc)

So the only issue seems to be windows fails to recognize the sd card's format

I've used this card for a long time with no issues. Currently running easeus to backup the files, but it's taking hours due to all the tiny files on the card

Is there any faster way to recover the files or perhaps to tick the little box in windows that says "this is fat32"?

Cheers guys, I'm lost

That means the file system is damaged, you'll probably need to re-format.
right, but odd it's read fine by the switch and also easeus.

I mean, it's a tad odd that easeus even lists "deleted files" and "more files" separately.

Also pretty weird dskchk was normal right?

Every single file is there undamaged in easeus it seems (oddly enough)

A most sad update, easeus can detect all of the files but gets stuck at 1% when trying to "recover" them.

I suppose I can try to see how linux approaches this sd card. Seems you are probably right about having to format it.

Try using a new micros card reader because that usually happens when the adapter is broken it has happened to me before
