Hi all,
Today I installed SX lite, firmware 10.2.0 and SX OS 3.0.5. I was able to enter the bootloader/SX loader and was successful in creating a emunand. But due to some reason the system bootloops(between the Nintendo n switch logo) or gives blackscreen when I try to enter CFW. The system does boots to OFW but without the microSD (it's grays out), but the sd is recognized by the bootloader for boot.dat
I don't understand where the problem is, installation of the chip looks correct with green light, microsd is fat32 formatted, I tried doing a clean install multiple times but to no success
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Die you do a quick format or a full format?
Did you check the card for bad sectors?
Yes. Tried after doing a full format too+used a diff SD once, no avail. Do you think there can be some issue in the SX OS 3.0.5 file itself or I am still missing something

Yes, it was the main card of the switch, but then I formatted it to fat32
Hey the exact same thing and I mean the EXACT same thing happened to me on my switch lite. Your chip will have come with a debug cable it's very small you'll have to attach it to the chip And re Flash the firmware to the mod chip then it should work fine

You're going to have to find somebody online that has it because the only way to get it originally was from Team executors website but all their websites are gone
Thanks, i tried this couple of times. Firmware was flashed successfully but the problem didn't resolved, still bootloops into CFW

Have you tried using another SD Card?

I had an issue where if I used my Kingston Canvas SD Card it would regularly come up with the boot.dat required screen (even though it was formatted correctly with archiving turned off) but would be fine if i used my Sandisk SD Card

Yes I tried using a different SD, problem is SX OS recognizes my SD perfectly, but when it boots it stop recognizing it and goes into bootloop. When in OFW it grays out the SD, so still not recognizing it!!

I have a similar problem, sometimes my Nintendo switch boots on cfw in emunand! I realized that when the switch is very hot right after playing a game it doesn't start on cfw anymore! I have to wait for it to cool down to enter the cfw again ... below I show a video! I also noticed that when he enters the OFW he appears 2 Nintendo logos and when he enters the CFW he shows only 1!

when the team xecuter chat was on the air a modchip installer appeared reporting this problem and he only solved it by changing the chip! but as there was no guarantee, he had a defective chip ...

Normally this is a defective chip or wrong soldering in some points,in my country some people reported this kind of problem(starting on ofw instead of cfw sometimes)
As for your heating problem, you better look at the thermal paste and see if the cooler is damaged or dusty too, these are usually the most common heating problems
Use only silver based thermal paste on the cpu and the cpu's metal shell, there are many other thermal pastes that are terrible for the switch

so, i have already reviewed all the welds with the multimeter and they are all ok, i imagine even if it is a modchip problem! Regarding the temperature, I mean the temperature of the modchip and it doesn't give a CPU ... as the modchip is next to the CPU, it must heat up a lot too and with that interfering in its functioning, you know?

In the welds I made I had no problems regarding the temperature of the modchip, it would be unusual for the chip temperature to affect the console or even the CPU, the Switch is designed to withstand almost 70 degrees and the core of the chip isn't much close to the CPU (Or least, shouldn't according to the manufacturer's instructions). Although there is a flat glued to the cpu, the main part of the Sx lite is outside the cpu's metal plate and in the Sx core it must be above the motherboard's metal plate.
If you are using a silver based thermal paste, applied it correctly and your welds are normal (no damaged capacitors or irregular soldering), there must be some problem in the chip itself, if there is another unit to test, you can try to replace or you can contact the seller.

I did some tests monitoring the temperature and the CPU does not exceed 40 ° celsius while playing ... My thermal paste is yes the silver base I applied on the tegra and also on the external sinks, I also isolated with kapton tape the solder on the CPU capacitors and nothing had any effect on this problem ... unfortunately I have no other chip to test and the dealer in my country no longer sells the chip and does not guarantee the chip if it is not installed by a technician indicated by them! I didn't buy another chip from china because my Nintendo switch works perfectly after it starts at emunand, so I'll leave it at that until it stops working or the chip becomes more affordable ... But if there was someone who had already fixed this problem would be nice. Even so I appreciate your help!

If your sx lite still boots OFW and not CFW after reflashing it then it was most likely shorted with heat shield. Replacing sx lite chip always fixes this. I would also inspect the ground screw that holds the ribbon in place next to the final solder points. Scraping / bending part of the gold contact when putting screw in can cause this.

Very finicky design. Maybe TX had a re-design coming before Big Ns dick came flapping around.

Hi, my switch starts yes in cfw, it flashes the blue led and the green also appears on the sx os screen at boot but there are times when it starts in OFW, then I have to restart or leave a few minutes off so that it starts alone in CFW! there's a video in my post above that shows what happens ... I've already checked the chip's power and the 3.3v arrives on it and also checked the flat cable connections with the multimeter and it's running between the Ribon cables and the modchip ! I'm an electronics technician so I can check if you have a good connection on everything but without the modchip's electrical schema it's more difficult to solve this problem ...

Personally I would re-flash chip 1s then test. If problem persists then I would remove heat shield and test again. Remove screw that grounds SX Lite next to caps then test on mo time. Un-tighten ground screw just a tad and test. If all else fails try a new SX Lite. Almost forgot that this can also be related to soldering on nand qsb, doesn't hurt to re-touch the points up.
