I'm not sure if I've ever had issues with dlc or xbla, since they unlock the same. I have had the "fatal crash intercepted" before with a corrupt file or game. I no longer play my 360, but I still remember most things, so I just try to help now. :D and, my 360 is still plugged in with pink hdd shell. ;)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

btw, I think xbla is 000D00000 instead of 00000002. indie games go in a 00000002 folder though.

NICE! Just before lockdown I went on an Xbox 360 hunt.. for non backwards compatible games on Series X. I have ended up now owning my original trinity which I RGH back in 2016, FF13 limited edition which is on its original launch dashboard, never been online or updated. I think it’s Pre-NXE. Another FF13 limited edition which is updated to latest dash, stock for online / games that won’t come to XSX. And “backup E models”. lol, maybe 3 if I had to guess...and another backup Jasper V2 RGH; I do like the 360 haha. If I didn’t get most dirt cheap I wouldn’t have bought them, but just couldn’t say no lol. - I might spin up my 360 later and confirm the paths. But in Aurora, if I remember as long as:
Hdd1\Content\000000000000000\titleID is your path for either XBLA/games and DLC is inside the titleID folder named as “00000002”. It should work.

If I get time I’ll load up and upload some screenshots of some locations where all my content is and working

don't place it on the root with the other disc or same disc. most "installs" are just copying the content, possibly adding in your profile and device ids in the process. in most cases, it's not needed as copying the content folder and unlocking it are all that needs to be done. I'm not even sure if you have to unlock it actually when it's dlc on a disc, but I haven't done any tests on it. it won't hurt it if you do though, so it doesn't matter. 00000001 I think is a save's folder. you want 00000002 for dlc.
Ok this part I'm confused about. Are these 2 separate folders? Game I'd xx(play disc) and game I'd xx(dlc only)? I tried 1 folder that is game I'd/00000002 and 00000700

I'm thinking FSD's password for ftp by default is like xbox360 for both username and password, but it can be anything or changed in FSD (not sure about Aurora).

I did not know that 00000002 would work with xbla, but indies are considered dlc with a single title id. if you use yaris swap, it will most likely place them in the 000D00000 folder. I think that's how I found that out. 000B00000 is for updates as well, but the cache folder used to be used for them. what someone told me was that long file names go in the cache folder, but content manager should be able to manage all of this without having to remember it.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I think you might mean 00007000? It's something like that for god games. they'll both go in the title id folder, but each the god game and the dlc will be in separate folders. you also don't need the god game on the internal hdd. with FSD/Aurora, it can be on an external hdd as well

FSD is xbox and Aurora is xboxftp which is why I had to update the config files for xbox 360 content manager to work just fyi

Mine is the phat so I'm using the side hdd attachment. So in bioshock 2 the dlc crashed the game, black screen, even if I had 2 folders. As soon as I deleted the 00000002 folder where the "content" files were the game launched no issue. In dark souls 2 game works no matter what, gets to start, and no matter where I put disc 2 files it would still say can't start interest install disc for pack. I was able to ftp, have to enable on dash launcher, then on aurora I can set up the username and pass. Also under oringal settings, the xbox ip is needed. So host(xbox ip) username, password, port 21

it won't work (unless possibly formatting the drive). 360, xbox, and xbla (possibly indie, but I'm not sure) games work from an external hdd, but when you select the storage medium when starting a game, it will scan for dlc or updates. put both on the internal hdd, then try again.

Currently both are on the drive. I even devided, I put the game inside of 000000000000 and I put the dlc on same directory as the 00000. So game I'd 1234 with 000000. Inside 00000 game I'd 1234. When I went and looked on aurora, I was able to see the dlc files on auroras content manager. Bioshock has 4, I click on it and the dash reloads. If I install the 2nd disc as God, it will be a game called expansion installer that freezes

I just checked my Guitar Hero locations btw. Just FYI this is how mine are set up and in Aurora, DLC is recognised and working:
Game is in location: HDD1\Games_xbox360\GameName
DLC:HDD1\Content\0000000000000000\4156081A\00000002\DLCFILES.

Games_xbox360 is just a custom folder I created and told Aurora to look in there for 360 games.
4156081A is the tilteid for Guitar Hero World Tour. So that's how it has to look.

Ensure the filename doesn't contain any spaces or special characters other than the capital letters + numbers. Try and copy over with Content Manager and you should have no problem. This is what I did for all GH game DLCs. Good luck!

I'd strongly suggest using content manager as well. you seem to be getting confused. there are only certain places the system will look for dlc. I'm not even sure if the external hdd is one of them (possibly if you format the drive to fatx, but I'm not sure). I just recommend only using the internal hdd for dlc, updates, and possibly indies since their considered dlc. you can, however, play indie games in dashlaunch, and you can select the folder for them, so they may be able to be anywhere (not sure). however, dlc and updates I'd suggest putting on the internal hdd. content manager should place them in the correct location. xm360 may have found them, because they're containers.

Yes my games are inside of 00000000, so i will try opposite. I created a folder called DLC/gonna have the game id/an 00000002 folder/then the long file name which is the dlc. I will create path in aurora for it to scan, i dont expect it to show up as a game because no .xex files. This way the game and dlc are seperated

You don't need to create any folders.
As said before, either use xbox 360 content manager and it will do it all for you.
Or connect to your xbox using FTP using Filezilla and go to path:HDD1\Content\0000000000000000\
Now your extracted disc 2. Go to its location Content\0000000000000000. Just drag your titleID folder in to FileZilla and drop it in to the above location.

That's it.

Personally I don't have my games in location Content\0000000000000000. But if it is working for you, that's fine too.

here's an example of what it looks like on the internal hdd:

change xbox 360 internal hdd to hdd1. this is not the same game, but an example of dlc for another game. I'd have to look up what game that is. I'd suggest only putting dlc on the internal hdd. it's more difficult to deal with fatx as an external hdd, so I don't suggest it.

So the dlc went 00000/game I'd/00000002/dlc file. It was locked and had to click unlock dlc
