Im not certain im pretty sure this for the flow ( Hopefully ) be at lot quicker than coding GePatch ... or thats how it seems to me ... PPSSPP would be great on vita plus the Tekken 7 mod works only on PPSSPP so that would be a bonus Monster HUnter 3rd HD too plus everything in Native Res ... with sharper filters than Adrenaline ... i just hope he pull's it off

because the vita has psp hardware, and doesn't use emulation, ppsspp is an emulator that is also on android, and without significant modification, won't tap into the psp hardware in a vita
the shield is an android device that is newer and significantly more powerful than a vita, yet somehow emulates psp terribly above a certain threshold
if the shield can barely emulate psp games, how is the vita supposed to run a psp emulator at a reasonable speed?

My best guess is close to what @CMDreamer mentioned above.
Utilizing parts of PPSSPP to give us a better overall experience on the Vita. At first I was wondering the same thing. Why port an emulator over to do the same thing, but effectively worse. Then I read what @SuperDan posted earlier about porting the entirety of the emulator first.

i think PPSSPP will hold the higher resolution " Native to vita " better than GePatch is doing atm ....

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

PPSSPP didn't work out so well for WIIU unfortunately im still waiting for a update that most likely never happen but still i like the PPSSPP interface more cleaner & its a excellent emulator on every platform ....

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

yeah exactly i feel the same way ..it must be a easier job than getting GePatch working 100 % im guessing ....

Wii U uses PPC, PSP uses MIPS, not easy to emulate MIPS on PPC.

i was making a joke about the n64 library being tiny, and the games actually worth playing even smaller

I get you point, the very same tought came to my mind about the Vita, but even worse... IMHO there are no first party games worth playing for the Vita.

The N64 even with its very small game library have very good games worth to be replayed, and without mentioning it we all know which one is the most worth of them all, and the second would be, yes!, that one precisely!

This makes about as much sense as porting a DS emulator to the 3DS, or porting a PS1 emulator to the PSP...
Unless the emulator is running in Vita mode which would give it more resources than the one built into the Vita as everything available to games wouldn't be limited to what the PSP had such as 64MB RAM and 2MB VRAM. By running it as a native Vita app, it would have the entire Vita hardware to work with including the Vita's entire 512MB of system RAM and 128MB of VRAM. More resources = more stuff we can do with PSP software. We'd be able to make all PSP game run with a higher resolution at full speed maybe.

Porting PPSSPP could give some valuable insight to making a hybrid patch on Adrenaline.
The Vita screen is double the res of that on the PSP, doubling the res on PSP games would make them look much better.

That and pretty much what ccfman2004 said.

I mean I think that's really cool, but adrenaline already runs really well on the Vita. What's the point of really getting it?
