Cuphead developer Studio MDHR delays Delicious Last Course DLC to 2021

Cuphead won't be getting its Delicious Last Course DLC before the end of 2020, as Studio MDHR has announced that they will be pushing back the new content to sometime next year. The DLC has already been delayed once before, having been originally announced at E3 2018 and planned for launch in 2019. This second delay is, according to the development team, due to difficulties caused by the current global pandemic. Currently, Studio MDHR hasn't given a timeframe as to when exactly in 2021 fans can expect to play the Delicious Last Course DLC, but hopefully it won't be delayed yet again.

Save maybe 3-4 specific bosses, it's not all that difficult as long as you can get your parry timing down. You get a big upgrade to your basic attack pretty early on too. If you've ever played Contra or any bullet hell games you'll probably be fine.

Honestly, as someone who's yet to play this and any of the SoulsBornekiro games, are the difficulty of these games overhyped by the same game journalists who are like that one Polygon reviewer who couldn't even play DOOM 2016 with a basic understanding of the controls? Like, when I'm thinking "hard" games, I'm thinking stuff like the NES Ninja Gaiden, Double Dragon 3 on NES, the klassic Mortal Kombats, any fighting game with a final boss that's been diagnosed with SNK Boss Syndrome, you know, that kind of thing.

To an extent, yeah it is exaggerated. There are plenty of crutches that new players can use to make the games easier, and some of them you'll want to keep using even as you get better. Hell, dodge roll alone can be used to beat the games at soul level 1, so certainly anybody can beat them with the opportunity to stop and grind levels anywhere in the world they choose. Shields and/or magic are a new player's best friend. I'd say Dark Souls 1 > 3 > 2 in terms of difficulty, although whichever you play first will undoubtedly be most difficult for you. Each game has maybe 3-4 TRULY difficult bosses like Cuphead, and about half of them are optional.

Demon's Souls I'd put at a notch harder than DS1, and Bloodborne a notch easier. Sekiro OTOH...that I'd say lives up to the difficulty hype without question. It takes away so many of the options and the crutches that the Souls games give you and forces you to play it one specific way. Luckily parry timing isn't as hard to nail down as it is in Soulsborne games, but mastering it is a must.

Sekiro is the one you maybe want to think REALLY carefully about before diving into. It is actually Ninja Gaiden hard.

Cuphead hard. That's all i can really say. If you've played the older contras its a jog in the park but it's still somewhat difficult. not close to ninja gaiden hard.

lets just say don't play this game with a brand new controller because you'll end up snapping it in half or throwing it against a wall :P
