So basically, I had a scratched copy of mario kart wii. I was not able to play it at all, and trying to dump the game would result in an error. I could only ever get to the menu of the game. However, today I really wanted to play the game, I looked for solutions but couldn't find one. I then cleaned the game disc with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel. I tried to dump the scratched disc with cleanrip and to my suprise, the game is fully working without any errors.
I'am from those who believe most problems with CD/DVD and CD/DVD Drives can be fix with a good clean up \o/
To illustrate : I recently fix a "broken" MacMini superDrive by cleaning the case and the lense. (They were f***ing cockroach on the inside btw x) )
