The delay IS a marketing trick to build a artificial hype for the game and to talk about it...
just like its happening lol

wrong, this game needs NO marketing as it already is and has been one of the most hyped games ever, and only the FFVII remake in recent years along with a handful of other games have had hype of galactic proportions.

They knew it wasn't going to be ready in November, but they did it to help sony and ms sell more consoles. And sure enough all the pre-orders were gone, which they were gonna be anyway, but this would help them out just in case

This is the same reason why SOOOO many games that were supposed to come out this year for next gen, mysteriously within about two week period or so, have announced delays until next year or even beyond! They knew these games wouldn't be ready, but it helps to sell consoles and they want to make sure as many people as possible have these new consoles to play these studio's games on whenever they do come out, to ensure more sales.

So these delays weren't hype, they're marketing for consoles. People bought up all the pre-orders, they will buy out all the day one launch systems but now maybe half of the next gen 2020 games are available instead of a bigger lineup we were supposed to have. And as usual, reports are coming in from various gameplays of games like AC: Valhalla and nba 2k21 and others ... just being broken and lack of a lot of polish.
