Gaming what features should nintendo add to the os?

Themes and folders
Eshop refunds
Different homescreen layouts and lockscreens
Miiverse equivalent
Spotify, amazon prime, netflix basically the whole shabang
Music player applet
Activity log applet
HDD support
Local save backups
Bluetooth support
Native voicechat and iming and party system
Frend code removal
Virtual console
Browser applet
Background and eshop music

I've got a bad feeling about the local save backups. Nintendo may be aware that some people, including myself, mostly get nso for saving to cloud in case something happens to the system. I imagine that there will be a point to where you can back them up, but probably not 'til the console is dead. I predict the switch 2 will be the switch with bc and better specs. you may be able to import saves to that then or it may be some bullshit like a system transfer. the latter kinda sounds more likely.

my mom listens to that all the time. come on, nintendo! I mean even the 360 could listen to music on a flash drive while playing a game, and that was two generations ago. personally, I think nintendo is just being lazy, because the switch, as basic as it is, is a cash cow.

I would like:

- Themes
- Wallpapers
- Achievement system (although I know that's impossible because there would be too much job to add it to all the games that support it, but at least if Nintendo is reading this that's what you should do for your next console

)
- Web Browser
- Save backups to PC
- Instant Messages
- More detailed Activity Log from what we have right now
- Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online and GameCube - Nintendo Switch Online
- Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Go and Disney+ and basically all popular video services that exist
- Spotify

But as things are going we're only going to get Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online and Netflix/Prime. But even that is questionable. They have to add some new features in the next few years so my guess would be it's going to be that most likely.

I think an achievement system would be awesome, but I doubt Nintendo will ever implement one. I believe Miyamoto actually said he disliked achievements, because they deter from the core of a what makes games fun.

I think you can now even do that with xbox original games on the 360. Math hacked the emulation files from 2018 (yeah, there are new ones), and added the guide back into the system. normally, the guide isn't accessible. you have to mount hddx or it won't work. I did that to my jtag, but I never tested music tracks. the guide does work though.

it's probably highly unlikely any of these things will make their way on to the os. that article on nintendo life mentions nintendo's inspiration for the switch was the nes: clean and simple. they may not want to bog it down with lots of features. it sucks, but that's what nintendo said when outlining the ozone os at a conference in Japan.

Get rid of ads from the lock screen.

Improve controller remapping so you can make it enabled by default for that specific game, not for other games, home screen, or eshop.
