I own a copy of Mickey's Speedway USA for the N64. For a good time, my console had some problems with games, as it wouldn't boot easily. I´ve had to try a lot of ways to make it boot a cartridge, and opened it many times trying to get the problem. Now I cleaned the slot very well and all of the games I have seem to work fine, except for this one. I tried to search for everything I could think of, but the PCB looks prety good as well as the connections, so I don't what can make it not load. I´d aprecciate any help to know if it's recoverable or it's just dead.

Use a solder iron to reflow the joints on the ROM chip, and other chips if need be. The solder for one of the pins could be cracked on a microscopic level.

To be clear, the game worked previously on the same console and you cleaned the connections on the cart itself?

Otherwise I’d get out the multimeter, check continuity and maybe resistance between the pcb connections/chips on the cart itself, using a pinout guide if available.

Tried that with everything just to make sure, and one of the capacitors got one leg off XD I'll buy a replacement when I can and hope that was it ;P

Yeah it did. I think it was the hardest to get running, and now it just didn't do anything. I tried to check continuity with all pins and nothing seemed wrong, but still nothing
When I was trying the reflow, I noticed one leg of the capacitors moved a bit strange, and when I flipped the board back I found out the broken leg. I'm not sure but I don't think that should happen that easily XD so I'm hoping it was broken before and that's why the game doesn't run.
Edit: I tried to pull the capacitor from another cartridge of a game I don't like that much (Tetrisphere), as they looked the same, and nothing ;p (put it back in tetrisphere and everything's fine)
Also the only way that used to work was hitting the cartridge against the console. It usually worked with all the games, and now that I cleaned with cleaner and toothbrush the slot all my games just work, except for this one. I reflowed all the joints so, I think maybe something else is broken like other capacitor or maybe one of the chips themselves. Anyways, when a get a cap replacement ill check the traces again. Maybe I missed something
