No i agree with you completly. Exactly the same thing i was thinking before i clicked the Ad..i mean i was thinking i would see those things but instead i watch space clips the whole time and some "inspirational" messages by some narator, and than 6 sec. the picture of PS5 it self..just standing there.

I was a big fan of the first PlayStation and PS2, a so-so fan of the PS3, I never bought a PS4, and I'm not likely to buy a PS5 either after watching this lame ad.

Better than baby ad for the PS3 but the ad shows that there's not many games to just get a PS5 yet. which is good for me since I can play Miles on the ps4

I know it will be a great console! I'm not buying one as I love my pc and free games & paying $70 to $100 for a game then pay to play online is just a liberty.... But what I don't understand is why do they always show the white ps5 when the black one looks much better... I recently watch a video of how the gamepad work & it looks really cool with the screen and the way it opens up.... Very futuristic... Well played Sony... Best controller I've ever seen

Have 0 interest in bot next gen systems atm, as itll be subpar titles that would run or is on current gen.

Tho i do plan on getting the ps5, but definitely wont be getting any microsoft console again after the shit customer service i had on from day of xbox1x launch.

Took 7 months to get a repair label sent so i could return it and they did fuck all.

They threw away my packaging, they damaged the console as it came back dented and scratched to fuck and the top lid loose and makes a loud noise.

All the cunts did was a fucking factory reset, faults still present.

They completely denied making further damage and disposal of my packaging even when i recorded prior to sending, they refused to issue another repair to fix the initial problem that they failed to fix.

So yeah, fuck them, halo is shit, same as gears, should have ended after the 3rd game.

Except that, if you want to play legit Switch games on the go, having an OG Switch and the red box one will give you the best of both worlds...but that's just my opinion.

As for the ad.....
Companies today really like to play with emotions, and if you dont pay atention/are not aware to that, you will just feel artificial emotions bind to that product that you're watching.
We don't actually buy products based on what we feel but rather on what is "forced to feel"..welll actually those ARE our feelings, we feel them but the main difference is that they are purposefully and artificially hightened to be unnaturally higher and even triggered if there are none.

These "marketing experts" or whatever are so clever dhese days that its scary, and the most scary part is that they will MAKE people buy anything if they can just influence the ffelings with music, visuals, phrases etc...

I rarely, almost never see an honest and down to earth comercial that just shows product without artificially making people feel certain way.
That's just disgusting to me. I mean i did not wanted to react or feel anything, i just wanted to watch the comercial, but as son as it started i felt emotions and i dont know why atm....but i actually know why.
Lol sometimes i found that best way to watch something is without at least sound. Sound has the greatest impact on emotions.

I found some really stupid movies that feel so sad and emotional, but when you mute the volume you realize how stupid it actually is.
Or when you turn mute some (if not most) comedy shows like big bang theory or whatever, you realize (at least i did) how
NOT funny it is..its actually cringey and stupit. Most of the time i facepalmed my self....but not like haha facepalm, but cringey, stupid face-palm.

Anyway, i know this has not so much to do with the content of a commercial, the console it self, but it is kinda related, and thats what i noticed tbh, and i san say the same for this commercial also.

Im not saying PS5 is shit, im just saying that they make it bigger than it is by playing with the emotions and influencing ppl that way....that's disgusting imo.

Marketing strategy my ass! People have no shame these days and these things are treated as normal...
I just cant stand those thats all.

As a conclusion: They don't sell the product but emotions. Product is what we "need" to feel those.

Dude, as much as you hate it, you should be in a marketing position. You're taking ads apart like the Ashford twins that one bug in Resident Evil Code Veronica. You'll have to probably sublimate what you think about what you're selling, though.

A) "On the go"? In 2020?

B) Personally, my Switch spends all its time in its Dock, so I can play on the TV. I rarely remove it, not even to tinker with microSD card files, since FTPD exists for homebrew-vulnerable systems like mine.

Yeah, that's kind of my feelings about the Switch this year, but it's not like Nintendo had any control over governments using this pandemic as an excuse to lock things down that they don't like, or that's how things are coming across here in Illinois with all of the dine-in restaurants getting closed down by order of Pritzker.
