hi i'm having a problem booting into SX OS 3.0.5 BETA's CFW with Emunand enabled.

I just got my license.dat file and put it on the root of my sd card with my boot.dat file, but when I inject a payload it shows me the sx os screen and just goes to the regular OFW homescreen. I tested this without the license.dat file and was able to boot up sx os menu no problem. I also was able to boot into sx os main menu by holding VOL + down while injecting payload. But when I try to boot custom FW (EmuNAND enabled) it sends me to the OFW home screen. I'm not sure what could be the problem here... I have other files/folders on my sd card (like atmosphere) is that an issue? I don't want to have to clear this card since its my only one. Please help.

OFW: 10.1
sx os: 3.0.5 Beta
SD card: 128gb Fat32

Update: I formatted my SD card to Fat32 using my Mac, tried all the steps from the beginning, making a new emunand on the card, booting into emunand CFW, and....still got the same error...

I then tried formatting my card using the OFW System settings Format option as suggested by the SX OS website, did all the steps again using the EMUnand on the card, but still was unable to boot into SX OS CFW... I'm so disappointed in this app honestly

Are you sure that you are not on CFW? Have you tried to enter the Album view? Everything elso look similar to the OFW.

I can't check the album. When I boot from CFW with Emunand enabled, it shows me the Nintendo logo and then the screen goes to black.

i am getting a black screen when I try to boot to CFW with Emunand enabled from the SX OS menu. Is it because I am on Switch FW 10.1? I was suggested to update to 10.2 for SX OS 3.0.2 Beta to work by somebody in the SX OS community forums. but I don't wanna risk updating just yet because I'm afraid it'll eff with my other homebrew (AMS, etc..). Is there no other way to check for an issue?

Also, is it possible to update to FW 10.2 from the Switch homescreen without getting banned? I have yet to connect to the Internet and was curious to check if my Sysnand was corrupted by homebrew files or not. If there's a safer way of checking this please let me now. Appreciate any help.

Try using the latest version of SX OS.

I am on the same boat as you. Did all the standard stuff, fat32; hidden partition emunand(even tried files on sd and results are the same); have all the necessary files on sd card and have the latest switch FW and sxos 3.0.5. I have emunand enabled, but when I click "boot custom FW" it still boots me to stock. What I did was turn it off and go back to that selection menu and click "boot custom FW" again and by chances, it will boot to emunand...lol. I peaked through my sd card slot and my sxlite is fine and flashes green, so i think the modchip was installed properly.

Did you find any solution to this?

Pretty sure sx os 3.05 beta is meant to support 10.2.0 & nothing else.
If your trying to boot into a different CFW version, that is where your problem lies.

I had a similar issue (below) it was only at the end I realised sd cards do cause issues.
I tried 3 different brands of cards and had different issues with all of them!
The first two would not create hidden partitions, and one of them would not even boot?
Maybe worth trying a few different makes of cards see if that helps?
I have used transcend and sandisk that have both worked.

How did you know you were in stock?
