Hacking HELP! SX Lite Green light black screen. It was working good for 2 month

Hello,
I had my switch Lite with the modchip for 2 months and all was working good. Yesterday, when I tried to power it on, It entered the EMUNAND and booted to CW and the screen went black but I still heard the sound when touched the screen or buttons. Sometimes it went on the screen but went off after 10 seconds. After some attempts, now the screen doesn't power on at all (no splash screen or nintendo logo).
I decided to open the switch and check the solder points (all look good), but I realized something wrong with the flex cable. The power button was not working and maybe is shorted with something. When you connect the battery, the modchip powers on without pressing the power button and when you move and press the flex cable it starts to blink blue and then green (but nothing showing on the screen). Any ideas of what can it be? Is it the flex cable? Is it the small motherboard? Is it the big motherboard?

I'm pretty desperate, if anyone can help I would be very thankful.

Well seeing the video helps a little. Be better to get high detailed pics of the ribbon in question along with all your solder points. If you disconnect that ribbon does it boot?

Should it boot when you plug in the battery directly without pressing the power on button?

I was this summer in a very humid place can this be the reason?

The thing that bugs me more is that it was powering correctly yesterday to CFW and a few hours later it wasn't even showing the splash screen os TX Logo.

Ok i finally found those pics. Would of been easier if u posted them here instead of a link in ur video but anyway i dont know if its just the way the light looks in the pics or if its dirt but between 4th pin and 6th pin looks like it maybe burnt. I uploaded your pic with what im talking about circled.

just saying even if it green lights doesnt mean its a clean install

give pictures of the nand installation solder

because sx lite installs are known to be able to short the lcd if not done properly

I’m experiencing the exact same issue. It was working perfectly fine but then, I flushed the v1.3 for the SX lite from the boot options and then I turned it on and it was fine. Then, I took out the SD and reformat it because I’ve been having issues connecting tinfoil and wanted to try other options. After I put it back it doesn’t turn on. It flashes blue then green for less than a second then nothing on screen. See the soldering points

How did you solve your problem? I got same problem. Blue light, less than a second, and I have black screen.

I share your pain. But I know it isn't my memory card's fault. I used Fight Flash Fraud - F3 Write and Read tests - to analyze it, and my card was successful, no corrupted file. Upon close inspection, my soldering points seem OK. But after pressing the power button, even though the led will go from blinking blue to static green, all I get is a black screen, that's when the card is inserted.
If I remove it and then power on my Switch Lite, I get the "BOOT.DAT?" screen.
And now my Switch Lite is rendered useless. I'm just wondering whether the debug cable could help me out of that situation, but I guess it won't. No idea where to go from here.

EDIT #1: I decided to go with a downgraded version of SXOS (2.9.2) and interestingly enough, it shows "BOOT.DAT?" screen, but the file is there. Trying to power on my Switch Lite with POW + VOL UP only gives me a quick flash from the backlit of the screen, while 3.0.5BETA does a dead screen. And to think my Switch Lite was doing just fine two months ago.

EDIT #2: I've had no success, so in order to maybe track down where this issue comes from, I decided to share the events that came to happen prior to my Switch Lite ended up pretty much dead for now.
So, almost three months ago, I requested a person to do the soldering job for me. I received my Switch working as expected, with the exception of one thing, and this bothered me when it happened: I would turn it on, but after the Switch logo faded into black, my Switch Lite would become unresponsive. Nothing else would show. I had to force a shutdown and then restart the device. It didn't happen often, and it took me four instances of this to finally make up my mind and made me open up the device and check for thermal paste replacements because I had in my mind it had to do with the temperature. So I removed every-single thermal paste my Switch Lite came back from the soldering service with - even the one applied on the CPU under the lid - and had everything put together real carefully.
I also requested the person to apply an electrical tape on the hacking kit, which he didn't do. So I did it myself and after that I re-assembled the device and let it recharge. Went for a nap. Woke up and my device was different: the backlit was on, but there was no image (while it was still recharging). My initial reaction was to restart the unit and figure out what was up. My Switch Lite did boot normally, and everything seemed OK, but then it got to the welcome screen. It was supposed to fade to black and go to sleep, but instead it fade to black and woke up by itself. After that, it fade to black and woke up again, it was acting up.
I decided to shut it down and wanted to let it reach 100% but it powered on by itself. I shut it down again but it powered on by itself again. I shut it down again and unplugged it from the wall, and it did it again, only this time it got stuck at the Nintendo logo. That was the last I saw of it working.
The memory card I'm using is a 200GB Sandisk one, the same I've been using with my Switch Lite ever since I purchased it. Partition table is msdos (aka MBR) and it's formatted to FAT32. Led goes from blue to green, but the screen doesn't show the SX splash screen. SXOS 3.0.5BETA won't start up and it takes me almost 15 seconds of pressing down the power button to shutdown the device.

I had the boot.dat issue with my card. Format it with gui format and put the latest beta boot.dat file on.

I did default allocation size with boot.dat from 3.0.5. Even attempted to include my license.dat file to see if that could've made any difference. But I get nothing on my screen, not even backlit. Only green led.

Is this the kind of situation I could work out with the debug add-on? Do you have any experience with it?

Some people are saying I should format my sd card and create a hidden partition for SXOS "to work properly". Is that a thing of 3.0.5? How big should this hidden partition be? FAT32 or cleared partition?

I'm guessing you did that using the tool provided by SXOS, right?
But in this thread, our Switch Lites aren't able to boot. Meaning it doesn't show the splash screen, it's pretty much dead.
It seems all we can do without SXOS's tools is to come up with a FAT32 microSD card with boot.dat but that doesn't do anything, we get no video. With that in mind, would you happen to know how to get out of this tricky situation? As I said before, I'm pretty sure this is NOT a sd reader problem, because SXOS does read the content of the microSD card. I just tested it:
After extracting boot.dat from SXOS 3.0.5BETA, it gives me no video. LED remains green though.
I then excluded the boot.dat file and replaced it with a new, empty file that I named 'boot.dat' and guess what: it gave me the "BOOT.DAT?" screen. So yes, it still does read the content of my microSD card, meaning my Switch Lite isn't doomed and has to be replaced with a new one. The thing is, WHAT exactly is behind this behavior? At this point, I should be greeted with the splash screen, but I can't get even that. NOTHING on my Switch tells me there's something wrong but SXOS won't play ball here.

If I were you, I'd rework the soldering for SP1 (the one next to the capacitor) and see how it goes.

OK, I've got some good and bad news.
The good news is that I was finally able to get out of this situation. I had to erase my microsd card with sudo shred -v -n1 -z /dev/<cardUUID>. After that, fill it in with zeros. This process took me almost five hours for a 200GB microsd card.
After that, I decided to remove MBR and the partition table with:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1 just to be extra sure sxos won't complain about the card. Then, used GParted to create a new MBR (msdos) and formatted it in FAT32.
That did it. SXOS splash screen finally came up. But it wasn't done here.
My initial reaction to this was to attempt to create a new emunand, which is failed to do so with error code 00FFFEB3.
I powered it off and powered it back on. I let the Switch go to sysnand (boot.dat and license.dat were put on the card after formatting it) so that I could check which firmware my Switch Lite was on: 10.1.0. Then, I started searching for the error code on my computer and I noticed my Switch Lite went to sleep. A few minutes ago, I saw SXOS splash screen and then the Nintendo Switch logo. It had shutdown on sleep and then rebooted by itself. How come?! After it was done booting, I shut it down and powered it on again with VOL+ pressed down. I then went to reflash v1.3 and then powered it off.
I tried to power it on after that. Again. And back to square one I came: no video with microsd card inserted. Fucking-a.

For those of you who are wondering, I tried this with SXOS 3.0.5BETA.
I'm trying to re-do my steps to see if I can get this working again. This time, I'll boot straight to sysnand and attempt to format my card using Nintendo Switch's format tool. Maybe with its little magic I won't run into any more troubles again. Still, I can't figure out why it was acting up. Was that because of the card?

Please help.

This is probably my final post on this, as I've run out of ideas and quite honestly, I believe it's a lost cause.
After formatting my card and inserting it into the Switch Lite, there's a very small probability the splash screen will show. And when that happens, I managed to get to EmuNAND creation, but it always fails, either for hidden partition or for installation on microsd. For each error code it came up with, Google returns little to no information at all. I did try to reach team-xecuter.com but after registering on their website I was never sent the confirmation email, so I can't post there. As a final attempt, all I had left was to boot CFW, and so I did, but my Switch Lite is now sleep mode-sensitive, meaning it will shutdown after it goes to sleep (after waiting some time or just pressing the power button, it will never come back up). That, along with the fact I can't boot consecutively (in other words, whenever the splash screen comes up is up to pure luck) and the fact it's very unlikely they'll ever fix this issue just tells me this will only get even worse before a patch is available - IF it ever happens that is, considering the circumstances.

It could be the card or the card reader. If the switch detects the card is removed it forces you to reboot.

I don't know If you have to remove the microSD reader when installing the sx lite, but with sx core I broke once the miscroSD reader on my switch, the connection is very fragile, and then the console got stuck an boot.dat, or it could go to sx os options then black screen. Verify the microSD reader

Guys, first of all thank you for your patience and following along. I really appreciate it.
So, I decided to let go of the hacking chip. I lost count how many times I inserted my perfectly-functional microSD card into my Switch Lite, only to get no splash screen, and whenever SXOS decided to show up and I managed to get to create an EmuNAND, it never went past 14% and SXOS would output those useless error codes that lead me nowhere. It got frustrating to the point I decided I just want my Switch working again, SXOS-free. I was running SXOS 3.0.5BETA and firmware version 10.0.1. One of the major issues was that because of SXOS/Modchip, I could no longer enter sleep mode, as this would force-shutdown my Switch Lite.

So the next thing I did was to resurrect my Switch Lite, get SXOS to show up, enter cleanup. That I did.
Next, I unplugged the two cables from the board and attempted to boot my Switch Lite using sysnand. It worked.
I read somewhere that this sleep-mode issue I'm having has something to do with the number of blown fuses. With that in mind, I decided to upgrade my Switch Lite to v10.2.0, and it worked. Next, I pressed the POW button and it went to sleep. Pressed it again and it came up. Tried it again, it shutdown.

For those of you who think my microSD card could've been the one to blame: it isn't. It came through LLF and FWZ (low-level format and filled with zeros). After that, I did F3WRITE and F3READ, which reported that my card generated no corrupt files, my read/write speed and the card capacity. Everything matches the original description. But lets suppose that isn't enough. I've had my Switch Lite format the card and installed a game on it (for WRITING tests); After that, I played the game for a good 25 to 30 minutes (for READING tests). I had no issues whatsoever. And because the card is operating as it should, it goes without saying that the reader must be in great condition as well. So it's all good, but I still have to desolder SXOS board off my Switch one. The only question that remains unanswered is How/Can I get my Switch to wake up from sleep mode ever again? Does it have to do with sxos board still being sitting there?
