I know it's probably silly, but it's something that came to mind today, would it be possible to create a homebrew for the Wii U or 3DS allowing PS4 (or PS5) Remote Play for both consoles? As there is Chiaki that does just that for the Nintendo Switch, I wonder if it would be possible to create something like that for the Wii U or 3DS.

there's a remote play sort of thing with the 3ds called kit kat slim. there's also regular kit kat, but on my pc, it's sluggish as hell. kit kat slim is playable though on my laptop or even my tv.

Did you just make 2 threads with the same text for 3DS and Wii U forums?
Yes

Thank you very much, I didn't know that.

you might need a fast computer to get perfect fps. with kit kat, I got like 8-10fps while slim was over double that which is a playable state. you can also use it with other system controllers, like a ds4.

Considering we can stream our 3DS to our Wii U via NTRView, I'd have to believe that in theory this should be possible. But I don't know the first thing about this kind of stuff, so this is just pure speculation on my part.

I made a demonstration of that. it's been hella long since I used it as I was using my old router's ip:

you can try it with o3ds, but I can't guarantee it will work. I also don't have that kind of money, since I'm on disability. I'm already going to owe my mom $50 this next month for going over the limit on our internet (trying to redownload all switch games for my other switch, so I now have 1TB for both switches and same games). I've learned a bit. transferring content from the nand is about 1GB/minute and you can't download at the same time as it will cancel those downloads. also, no game is added to a secondary switch. I have 20+3 lines on my n3ds but my o3ds only has 17 lines of content. however, I've also learned that nintendo took precautions in case you forget to use your save on the secondary switch (it won't overwrite the good save by default).

Yeah, that's streaming the 3DS to your computer. I was pointing out the Wii U homebrew NTR View that allows us to stream our 3DS onto our Wii U in a very similar way to Kit Kat or Snickerstream does to your PC here.

I'd think that since we can get the likes of our 3DS streaming to our Wii U, that in theory we could also remote play a PlayStation on the Wii U in a similar means that we can do so on a hacked Switch.

I don't know. the playstation's remote play file has keys in it, keys that we don't fully understand. there's a generator for it, but it negates all keys and just leaves the account. I don't think things would turn out well streaming to a playstation device. why bother doing that if there's pstv though?

here's what it looks like:

Somehow they got it working on a hacked Switch, seems to me the pieces are all there: the Wii U is capable of remotely streaming another gaming device onto it, PlayStation has a remote play feature that has been exploited to be runnable on a hacked Switch, seems to me that at least in theory, the Wii U should also be able to remote play our PlayStation.

We can always argue, "Who is it for?" But I don't think that really matters. Point is, someone wants it and is asking about it, there is some sort of demand for it. At the very least it can't hurt to discuss if such a thing could even theoretically be possible. And maybe if someone that knows what they're doing, and sees the discussions, maybe something could one day amount from it.

Also, I know I'd make use of it, my hacked Wii U is connected to the TV in my room, while my PS4 is connected to the TV in the family room. If I could remotely play my PS4 from my Wii U in my own room, that would be amazing, so that I could play the system from the 2 main TVs in my house without having to move the system from room to room.
