do you think ps4 compatible to have a ps4 forwarder though retroarch?
nintendo switch has one so people can convert a game to go on homepage such.
This is possible however a custom launcher will be needed that tells it which game to run when the app is launched.

i need help please how to make clearer image on beetle psx i play re2 and its blurry 6.72 here
Change the resolution setting to 2x or higher in core options.

Usb version was used as temporary solution for 6.72 jb when it first came out. There was an issue reading config file from internal drive. This has since been fixed in later 6.72 HEN version so it's not needed anymore.

Can I load games from USB on DOSBox? I'm unable to mount anything as I do in Windows for instance.

OK, just helped myself, it's just a matter of loading the EXE, from load content. Pretty easy. Let's play Dune II !

OR eg.

mount c "/usb0/dosbox/"

I'll be releasing a native port of SM64 soon. Only source code will be released for this however due to the legal sensitivity of the port.

Your work is amazing and I congratulate you most sincerely. I have read the entire thread and I was very surprised that no one asked for the core of the ZX spectrum. Would you be so kind to inform me if you plan to add it? It is one of the most iconic computers in history. Thank you very much.

Thanks, I'll see if I can port that core over.

This is a native PS4 port of RetroArch. The current release is based off v1.8.8.
You will need a jailbroken PS4 running 5.05 fw to install and use this port.

Ported cores list:

Downloads
RetroArch_PS4_r4: https://mega.nz/file/HM4B3RST#amPGZoltIcuvCqjY9yW4VAHol5g923HSZK3xdmQhmhY
Cores_Installer_r4: https://mega.nz/file/DBxAFY6a#ZBjWCovHhiSfHx9Qq1B-aNVk0T8de7LD23VgLUqbhkQ

Cores Install Instructions:
Install and run the Cores Installer app to get the cores. (The app can be deleted after installing the cores)
Alternatively you may download them using the Core Updater in RetroArch.

Note:
Cores are now installed to /data/self/retroarch/cores.
If you ran my previous releases, you will need to update the cores directory configuration by going into:
Settings->Directory->Core and point it to /data/self/retroarch/cores

Previous Releases

Cores_Installer_r3: https://mega.nz/#!TcwiAQza!iSJaq0uPTH4qj-4BUbUv3aBLpYlPYsvBAlEKxFaU1tA
RetroArch_PS4_r2: https://mega.nz/#!mN5nxKLa!iqtz1OHD28DnwYpWnZKTcB29Eq_QTRd3olX_7iD3S6o
RetroArch_PS4_r1: https://mega.nz/#!mRgTnAzI!3cXPgqXYltkv1aIzgKOqqgHdlr9u-fFIq-q2CzhnFH0

Notes:
1. Games can either be loaded from hdd or usb.
2. The RetroArch system folder is located in /data/retroarch/system. Any necessary bios files need to be placed there.
3. There is a small bug where sometimes games won't load after closing it. If this happens, try re-loading the core and load the game again.
4. Parallel N64 emulator seems to run fastest with rice gfx plugin in. Use mupen64plus for best N64 emulation performance
5. Shaders should be working. Try loading them from usb if you're experiencing issues and don't forget to press apply after loading.
6. Launching games from playlists should now be working in r2.
7. Use Hen version 2.1.1 or later
8. For r3 or higher, install and run the Cores Installer app to get the cores. (The app can be deleted after installing the cores)

Aknowledgments/Thanks
- Flatz for figuring out OpenGL on PS4
- Frangarcj for the initial RetroArch PS4 port
- Big Boss for liborbis
Wow great job!
How is performance? Does it show down on anything you have tried?

Did you used online updater after installing Retroarch? I had this problem and it's gone after update and now core is auto selected when i load content.

Idk if it is just me but a lot of games don't work. I tried CPS2 dungeons and dragons games but all failed to load. Dreamcast games crazy taxi and daytona failed to load. Mame games like sunset riders crash on start.

How are you trying to load them? Via playlists? Or manually loading content? If you load through content then might be worth loading the core first then content

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

    nvm it does support mine
