Given that there were many demos for XBOX 360 over the years is there a place where we can download such demos to move them via USB to the console ? I know about digiex but there are not so many demos over there and I was wondering if there are any other places with more titles available to download.

More specifically I am looking for early Football / Soccer / Sport games demos or any other demos that offer replayability (2006 - 2010 era, games like UEFA EURO 2008 Demo, PES 6, Madden 07, Forza Horizon 1 Demo, etc).

I think the only place to get demos is xboxlivestore. If you don’t have internet with your xbox360, then I don’t think there are any other places to get these. eBay may have demo discs.

I'm unsure if demo discs can be distributed freely, the demos themselves are probably legal, seeing one can get them from XBLive.

OP, if you come across a demo disc ISO, you can try to unpack the ISO with Xbox Image Browser and copy them content folder over to a FAT32 USB drive.
A retail 360 should be able to recognise the demos off off the USB.

Thanks for the idea of looking for Demo Discs. Managed to find a few, however the format of the xbox 360 demos is in .xex instead of the content folder as usual. How may I convert this .xex type of games into a content file in order to move the game via USB to my Xbox 360 ? Note that my Xbox 360 is not modded.

There should be a content folder on the disc.
Copy that content folder to your USB drive.

The default.xex that's on the root can be ignored, it's just there to boot up the disc and display a selection menu.

Actually some Demo Discs are just build like that with no Content folder. Only separate folders for each game like the following folder for FIFA Road to World Cup 2006 Demo - see attached screenshot for FIFA.xex.

Hmm, looks like a gamerip.
Unfortunately, a JTAG/RGH is required to play that.

You can try and burn it on a CD, perhaps it might boot.
I doubt it tbf but I don't think you can make XBLA/GOD containers that from files that won't break signatures.

iirc, demo content goes in a folder called 000040000 on the internal hdd. however, you'll most likely find only god mode rips if you try searching for it.

I see but what if someone already has the demo installed on their xbox 360 ? Can they transfer that to USB and share with others or it will be installed containing a .xex executable as well ?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think you can. xblig (possibly xbla games, but I have none on the console) show a controller icon when you go to select one. demos show half a controller icon. I think that's how you can tell what's a demo. I think they'll work, but I don't know for 100%.

It'll likely come as a GOD container.
And yeh, you can share it like that.

the whole launching a xex file thing is mostly JTAG/RGH only.
Retail consoles largely ignore it.

off the top of my head, I think demos come in 00004000 folders, so you can tell it's a demo if it's on your pc. also, this is the image that I mentioned (half a controller icon). I was trying to look up xex menu, cuz I know that that's counted as a demo as well (possibly to get around people without flashed drives):

Awesome ! Now I only have to find someone that has the FIFA Road to World Cup 2006 Demo installed and can share it :rofl2:.

The other demos I was able to find as content 00004000 folders and transfer them via USB to my unmodded X360 and worked. Except for this one that was on a disc with both XBOX 360 and XBOX OG demos as part of the Official XBOX Magazine #60 DISC in US and comes in a FIFA folder as I said a few posts earlier.

Thanks for your help guys ! Hopefully someone has the Demo I am looking for and can share it :grog:.

Someone must've renamed it. You could try yaris swap without changing headers to see if it renames it correctly. It should.
