It’d be nice to have something that just scans for the files that have that ._ prefix and the other stuff and just delete them with a press of a button. I make it sound like it’d be easy to do but if someone’s willing to make it I’m sure Mac users would be very happy.

Or just open terminal, type “dot_clean SD-PATH” then press enter

obviously without the quotes, and SD-PATH is the path of your SD(duh).

for the remaining hidden folders, just delete it via any homebrew that can access your sd and has the ability to delete files and folders such as Tinfoil, Goldleaf etc.

then don’t forget to boot hekate and use the fix archive bit feature to fix the files.

thats never worked for me. it says
Failed trying to change dir to .Spotlight-V100
Bad Pathname: Operation not permitted
Failed trying to change dir to .Trashes
Bad Pathname: Operation not permitted
Failed trying to change dir to .TemporaryItems
Bad Pathname: Operation not permitted

Idk if anything has changed, but from what i remember
Type “dot_clean” in terminal
drag sd card into terminal window
Hit Enter

You dont need a homebrew app.
