so it seems the flow got another ten k from the ps4 bug bounty but good luck twisting his arm to cough up the code even AFTER the grace period the scene sure shot itself in the foot
the sad thing is that it's a scene site, not a content site, that pissed him off. you'd think it would be the other way around, but some of those sites have the biggest douches in the scene on them.
no one is stopping you from exploiting the ps4 yourself. in fact, theflow has a link to freebsd exploits. you just need to run down the list.
You are free to shut your mouth, this is a free country and I do have money to buy all the games if I want too so I don't need any exploit . I am doing this because I like it and no because I cant afford it.

Also telling someone to shut their mouth... I think Nazi and USSR did that to people, if they are free to do anything as you in your country of freedom, then they can talk as much as they want. So you might need to go and get that looked at.

I saw the twitter but seems like Sony paid him again maybe he found another loophole. To be honest I don't really see people doing anything to further development for future firmware but at the same time the PS4 games are kinda cheap to buy. I just bought TLOU2 for $30 on offerup. It's nice to see a jailbreak at EOL but in the rate things going not to sound negetive but the flow is a whistleblower. No problem releasing a jailbreak and then getting paid to patch it but if there's only 1 door and you close it preventing others from getting in that's kinda low.
Again I don't blame Theflow maybe he needs the $$$

yes, but some people act as though they wouldn't cash in if they had the skills. it's not like you spend a couple hours looking, then find something. I read through hen on the ps3 when I was on psx place. it took over 7 months of 10 hours per day reverse engineering. the people who call out these devs are usually people who do absolutely nothing in the scene, so they act as though they know what it's like to invest time. like I said, no one is stopping anyone from looking for exploits. just look up freebsd. it has A LOT of loopholes from what I've seen, and sony is kinda careless when it comes to security.
I guess what it comes down to is time and respect. let me preface this by saying, I don't have theflow's skills nor would I pretend to have. however, my time is just as important to me as yours is to you. there used to a site called ps3gameroom (ever heard of it?) of which I was a member. it no longer exists, possibly due to karma. anyway, someone on there said my tutorials weren't really mine, since I got information elsewhere. I wrote the tutorials, provided the files, I didn't copy and paste like they always did with fixes. oh, the irony! I gave credit to everyone but myself, yet I still wasn't respected for it. what that person(s) didn't seem to understand is that a scene is building off each other's work. there's no one person who figures it all out. you'd have to be pretty damn naive to think that. you're going to get a backlash if you devalue someone else's time. and, considering the people who do that are usually the most selfish people of the bunch, I find it hard to believe that they themselves wouldn't sell out a scene for money (if they had the skills). they've already shown themselves to be selfish when it comes to time and wanting to play newer games at the expense of another person's. they don't care that other people can't play newer games. they care that they can't play newer games.
