I'm not the well versed in twilight menu++, but I'm using all default settings except for ones that tell it to use the flash cart on the ds.

I said to press L three times to get to the part where DS or DSi mode is. It is in fact not under Gbarunner 2 settings.
oops sorry, it was actually two times. k im going to see if that works

edit: no it does not work, still have that glitch
i think it may be the files, idk

I just tested minish cap (that's one that doesn't work, right?) on my ds with twilight menu++. it works with a few graphical hiccups. I'm using the twilight menu++ build from labor day. the graphical glitches are very minor too.

I'm not the well versed in twilight menu++, but I'm using all default settings except for ones that tell it to use the flash cart on the ds.

Minish Cap has been working for a while however there is a problem where it will make GBAR2 crash at a very late point in the game. So far no way around this other than doing that one part on some other way to run GBA roms like pc or open_/agb_firm.

Also that dude is running it from a cfw'd DSi which has some more settings than when run from a flashcard.

Here's the compatibility list for DS and Flashcards @godreborn

When you get that screen after loading a ROM, try touching the touchscreen and then press B.

even when i open GBARunner2 directly, its still like that. So idk man
Download this: https://www.winmd5.com/

Put your ROM in it.
See if you get any of the MD5 hashes on these pages:
https://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.php?page=show_record&s=23&n=1672

https://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.php?page=show_record&s=23&n=1616

If the MD5 hash your ROM has matches a bad dump (colored red) you will need to make a better dump of the rom for it to work with gbarunner2.

Okay. Do know that even if your rom works in any emulator on your pc, it is not granted it will work in gbarunner2. You're welcome.

Is there going to be support for cheat codes anytime soon? Lovely work otherwise.
Lol so many people ask about cheats  It will probably take a while until that is looked into since Gericom is focusing on other things right now. If and when it happens I'm sure he'll share the news himself without us nagging him about it, though ;)

I think we might have found your problem. Grab the dsi file from here, make a copy of it and rename it to GBARunner2_arm7dldi_nodsp_dsi.nds. Put both the original and the copy in your _nds folder. Run a gba rom and see if it works.

Basically DSis who have certain setups can't use the DSP build yet.

Ok that's understandable. Tell us how it goes when you put twlmenu on it. Very often this solves it.
Welp... my flashcard doesn't even load TWiLightMenu++.
:rofl2:
I tried switching to RetroGameFan firmware and it now works... so yeah. For clone R4i flashcards don't use the stock firm.

You can patch the cheats to the ROM with GBAATM.

Have you confirmed that patching cheats works? I've tried using gbaatm without any luck with gbarunner2.
Well, I did just try... and nope, it does not work.
I do remember once it kinda worked, it was when TWiLightMenu++ was still called DSiMenu++, and it worked with one game, but no cheats could be loaded as far as I remember.

Actually I just tested some roms I had patched cheat trainers in with GBAATM (check out a new version here) and you have to disable "center and mask" from GBAR2 settings to be able to view the cheat selection. I can't tell if the cheats actually get applied though. Doesn't seem like it.

EDIT: Yeah they do actually work. I'm playing Sonic Advance 3 with infinte lives, time and rings. This is kinda big I guess. Currently I've tested them in Sonic Advance 3 on DSi and 3DS in the 'master', 'dsp' and 'hicode' branches. For 3DS it worked in all branches. For DSi only in hicode because the patched ROM is 14.5 MBs. I tried testing a DS build but the ROM was obviously too large. In other words you need to keep the amount of RAM of the system you're playing on in mind. So 8MB for DS, 16 MB for DSi and 32 for 3DS. Not sure how big ROMs the DSi could use with cheats in hicode branch but probably very large ROMs seeing that it is able to run ROMs of 32MB with hicode that it could not run before.

@ziggy997 cheat support is already here.

This guide should explain the steps to getting cheats patched into your ROM.

hi! im back to say that i had my problem fixed, and it was just the files that were corrupt. i had gotten twilightmenu++ out of a gbatemp post.
i reinstalled twlightmenu++ and gbarunner works just fine with no problems.

except for one.
for some weird reason, when i try to open pokemon firered, it doesnt work. it just boots into the bios, then just freezes on a white screen. i still dont think its my rom, but it seems many other had this problem also. apparently, its supposed to be sram patched, but twilightmenu apparently automatically patches sram??????? i dont know the full details but can someone help me???

I don't know where you read that it has to be sram patched but that hasn't been a thing for like 2 years so that is not the problem, unless obviously if you're running a really old GBARunner2.

To recap you have a DSi with cfw, no unlaunch, and have verified your bios and rom to be the ones required by GBARunner2?
