Hi,
I have a hard time creating a custom XCI to load from a USB HDD on SX OS.
The main game, I want to dump is Final Fantasy X X-2 HD Remaster [0100BC300CB48000] (very big DLC ) but I'm trying with Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Mega Mix [01001CC00FA1A000] too.

I'm starting with the games installed on the SD card with DLC and update, SX OS 3.0.4, firmware 10.1.0 ext.
I dump base game, update, and DLC with SX Dumper onto the HDD.
I use NSCB 1.00d interface to test the NSP (keys dumped from my switch). No problem.
I use NSCB to create XCI :
  • 2) MULTI-PACK mode
  • Base game file
  • Update file
  • DLC files
  • 1) start processing
  • 2) repack list as XCI
  • 0) don't patch
  • 1) MERGE all files
Then I use the interface to test the XCI. Base game, Update, DLC are present and everything seems OK.
I put the XCI to the root of the HDD.
XCI are detected by SX OS. Project Diva is version 1.0.0 . Games load and lunch but there is no DLC nor Update...
What I have try so far :
  • Installing Project Diva from the XCI with SX OS : DLC present but no update.
  • Change SX OS to 3.0.5 : no DLC, no update.
  • Downgrade firmware to 9.0.0 ext : no DLC, no update. (I have "patched" the XCI with NSCB)
  • Change SX OS to 2.9.2 : no DLC, no update
  • Change order of files in XCI (dlc, update, base) : no DLC, no update
  • Use NSCB in legacy mode : no DLC, no update
  • Emulation with Yuzu on FF X xci : DLC OK (well Yuzu lock after title screen)
Does someone see what I'm doing wrong ?
If someone is actuality creating his custom XCI for SX OS, can he tell me what version of SX OS, firmware and NSCB ? What commun game (that I may have) was successfull ?

Thanks

2 things that might be causing the issue of no dlc
1. The dlc itself might not be compatible to the game region your using. Maybe the dlc/update is for Jpn version
2. If the said dlc and update file are NSZ then thats why its not working you must convert NSZ files to NSP first.

Your xci conversion steps is done correctly b/c thats what I do all the time. But downgrading your switch or sxos has nothing to do with any of this. Yuzu isn't compatible to every Switch game as well
I also noticed that you said Project Diva version 1.0.0 even after you added the dlc/update it should be showing how many dlc's it has and the update version on the xci file name next to the title ID.

For FF X, the base is 0100bc300cb48000 and the updates are 0100bc300cb49001 and 0100bc300cb49002 so there are OK. And the game works fine on SD card.

When dumping with SX Dumper, the files are NSP format.

Thanks to have confirm it.

Yes, I was awared but at least it load DLC from the XCI so there are really there.

I was not speaking about the file name (the file name has [v131072] (1G+1U+19D)), but I was refering of the SX OS screen when you go in the "library" and selecting the game to load.

Then your fine. Infact the sxos album shows the game file and its directory thats all the info you need, but the interface wont update to any changes you made prior to the game.(It listed as a base game, but its really not). Just launch the game and enjoy the dlc. The moment you created a new xci with everything new you added on the file name means it works. The home screen will show the correct update of the game you loaded.

Darmn :glare:. Indeed the version shown in the switch menu is different than the one in the SX OS menu...
Now I know that the update works. I still don't have the DLCs and there is no reason why. When I have the time, I will start over again (redownload DLC, dump, ...)

Thanks for your time :yay:
