I have this problem for a few days now, i tried "Reset Required Version" DevMenu is not working on current firmware and even the devbuild of Goldleaf didn't do it for me. i also tried Maintenance Mode, and hopefully someone can tell me how to get rid of this without deleting my games if possible.

I'm on firmware 10.2.0 AMS (SysNAND) 0.14.4 on autorcm.

it's the game update, the prompt is now on every game not fully updated, i like to keep games size small and don't update much unless it's a siginificant content update or DLC.

Because i like keeping games as they are for the glitches and lols and i usually could get the nag away using DevMenu but it's not working anymore on 10.2.0.

If I use dbi to install my nsp's will it reset the checking online message? like just boot normally? My cart dumps work just fine but my dumped eshop games don't work unless i launch them with the bought account.

i tried DBI now again, i still get the prompt to update.

Updating to the latest versions of games is recommended.

Yeah, i am aware of that, still i didn't have this problem for a very long time until like recently. And going through the trouble to always get update for games so i won't get the message sounds like a pain.

I was able to fix the checking online to see if you can play a game by unlinking my eshop account in users>eshop/redownload>account>unactivate console(deactivate) then go to the switch you want to be primary and do the same thing but activate it.

Are you able to skip the message and start the game? If so, it's not required version that's the issue.

"Reset required version" do exactly what it says: after that you are able to run game, but console already knows that there is an update and proposes you to update. Without resetinig you are unable to run game at all.

i am able to start my games, it just tells me that an update is avaiable everytime i want to start a game now. If it's not something i can't get away with resetting required firmware, is it perhaps some predownloaded system update that's partially on my switch? If so how can i delete it without messing something up?

When this first happened i had app crashes when i started anything, after getting new sigpatches this went away and got replaced with the update nag now.

The system keeps a list of every available game update, which is updated every time it connects to Nintendo's servers. That's separate from the required version. I believe there's a way to wipe the list though. Personally, I find it kind of useful to know my games are outdated, since updates often fix bugs or add bonus content. Although the list is pretty outdated seeing as I don't let it connect to Nintendo servers on my emuNAND.
My suggestion is to update your games every now and then. It's pretty simple if you have access to hbg's stash or a clone of it. Check out Rebirth for example. And NS Update Checker shows you all missing updates.
It doesn't hurt to keep them updated, it can only help. So I don't really see it as worth jumping through hoops to avoid updating.
