Can anyone try to convert my savefile from GameCube to the Switch version and try it?

I have homebrew with a jig, I know how to do backups of the saves, but I'm not sure if restoring a save on the sysnand of Super Mario 3D All-Stars is safe.

I would like to insert this save on my Switch since I can continue it on another save slot and having the same save on both consoles is something I would like.

I got the checksum calculation half way working but any help with the checksum calculation is much appreciated.

Can someone try to put my Switch save to the GameCube save?

Also the GameCube save to the Switch one.

My GameCube save has slots A and B, and Switch save Slot A.

Is possible to put on my GameCube save slot A from Switch there?

And on the Switch save, slots A and B on slots B and C?

I'm not sure if it's safe to insert saves on Switch so for now I would apreciate more to get my Switch save into the GameCube one.

If someone can do that, please expalin it here for the others and the future edits.

Thanks!

Hello,

I've written an little converter for Mario Sunshine:

github(dot)com(Slash)Laserlicht(Slash)SM_3D_All-Stars_Sunshine_Sav_Converter

You need Python with the pip modules installed
CMD: pip install lz4 binaryfile
Then run: python convert.py A.sav

@Feroz El Mejor: I converted your save file. To get an gci use Dolphin memory card manager.

I was looking the save right now on Dolphin and yeah, it works!

This is amazing, thank you very much for this! One of those days I will put the save into my GameCube Memory Card.

Since I don't know if I can get banned for putting my GameCube save on the Switch version, I'm fine with putting the Switch one on the GC.

Seriously, thanks!

My Mario Sunshine Gamecube save file (50 stars) is USA region and I found that the Game inside the Switch compilation is PAL region. Is there anyway to convert my save file to PAL region and make it work with the compilation? I tried with GC Save Converter v1.0 but it didn't work...

I think there's a converter for it. it might be in the resources section. I tried a normal hexing in the save, and it didn't work going back to nintendont on the wii u. I think the save got corrupted when I did that. the saves are different enough to warrant a converter of some sort.

So basically there is no way to convert it nor any save editor available?

Yes, there you go -> DNA#9641

Hello, I’m just going over old messages trying to find any info on getting wii/dolphin save files transferred to switch, I am facing a similar situation, it has been explained on a recent post called "convert skyward sword from dolphin to switch".
In case you have been able to move forward with the save editor or if I can be of any assistance let me know for sure since I really would like to have my half-way save file on SS from dolphin to switch.

Did you ever get the save editor working for Galaxy? I'd love to transfer my original Wii save to the Switch
