Well, to start, the director of ARMS specifically told Sakurai that he wanted Min-Min in Smash, so there’s that as far as “why her.” I just don’t get why you have such a problem with this specific ARMS character being in Smash.

Kiryu and Majima from the Yakuza series would be amazing, but unlikely to happen (yet).
Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes would probably fan-gasm (in character) at the invite, but definitely would have to be toned down to maintain their existing ESRB rating :rofl2:

I hate to say it, but I'm fully expecting another Fire Emblem character, or whatever other property Nintendo is trying to push at this time. :wtf:

I can not fathom how the next fighter would be another Fire Emblem fighter. Like, I'm ready to be disappointed, and I get the joke that there are a ton of Fire Emblem fighters, but what sane person thinks that the DLC fighter only one removed from the last Fire Emblem DLC fighter will be another Fire Emblem fighter? That's not even taking into account the fact that Sakurai himself said that he felt there were too many Fire Emblem fighters and that the second fighter pass is not mandated by Nintendo this time, but rather choices he and his team get to decide instead. I mean, I want it to be something great like Crash, but I am totally ready for something as lame as the likes of a Fire Emblem character, maybe something like Bandana Waddle Dee, people seem to want him, but I do not get why at all, I'd be pretty disappointed if someone like that were to be added next.

On one hand, Byleth was the only first-party character in the first pass, and we've already got Min Min for this one, so it seems like the odds of a third-party addition are decent.

On the other, there's still no current-gen Pokemon character, and this has already been a pretty big week for Sword/Shield announcements...

what? lol smash already has tons and tons of content, this definitely wasnt suposed to be on the original release.

heck smash ultimate had every fighter that ever appeared on smash playable from day 1 plus some more lol pokemon went the oposite way and cutted pokemons that appeared before.

I really hope it's one of those realistic characters that fans have been screaming for so that they'd shut up since if we're to believe Sakurai, that all the characters have been finalized. So it won't be promotional for upcoming games at least. I kind of want a troll character though like instead of Waluigi, we get someone like Tinkle or Birdo.

Watch that be the final fighter pass, and when he goes to reveal it, he says that if you want to vent your rage and frustration of your most wanted character not being in Smash, then you can take it out on him in the game!

For real though, if this does end up being the one they won't be able to top, who can they pick for the last character? This game is already like the Avengers Endgame of the series; everyone is in it, and there's no guarantee they'll be getting all of these third parties on board in this capacity ever again, (I mean, outside of maybe SNK, who seems keen on making guest appearances everywhere), so I doubt there's anyway in which the last character next year will be able to meet expectations.

I'd be legitimately shocked if he comes to Smash. Not because of the Microsoft-Bethesda acquisition, but the whole idea of having an edgelord character who's main iconic weapons are a chainsaw, shotgun, and a gun called the Big Fucking Gun. I mean, I don't give a shit, but this is Nintendo we're talking about here.

Same reason I'm skeptical about Scorpion/Sub-Zero coming to Smash, regardless of how much I'd love to see them go against the likes of Sheik, Ganondorf, Mario, Samus, Ryu, etc..

You know, I think if NRS and Capcom made a deal to include someone from Darkstalkers like Jon Talbain or Jedah, that would be the closest to "MK Vs. Street Fighter" one could realistically get.

I'm still hoping for a Rex/Pyra combo that's like Ice Climbers in terms of mechanics.

That said, given the last few fighters I'm not actually getting my hopes up. They'll just get crushed.

I'll eat my hat if that's what they announce, though.
