hi @GaryOderNichts
I have made a new video how to unbrick vWii by using NUS Downloader method
it's exactly the same thing like the update you get to change your vWii region
get to change vWii in firmware version to new or old
for this video I used a Japanese versions of vWii
I convert my vWii region EUR vWii to JAP vWii for this video enjoy
thank you for appreciating my work some people just be horrible and don't even appreciate my workThank you @NintnedoGuyin66 I used your guide on the video with NUS downloader and it works.
Now vWii is in full function (something like formated NAND).
In this guide anyone must pay attention on specifics.
vWii Decaffeinator v2
Changelog:
Download
- Now supports regenerating the setting.txt.
The file will be regenerated from the consoles region and serial which can be read from the Wii U side.
This means it is now possible to restore a vWii from a 100% empty NAND without any NAND backups.
Amazing job in there, thanks for this awesome toolvWii Decaffeinator v2

Yes, you need to be running CFW.Do I need to run mocha to get this to work?
Simply boot into Haxchi's cfw by pressing the button it is configured for example if you didn't changed the configuration it should boot onto cfw if you press the A button iircHi
I open Haxchi, i press on vWii Decaffeinator and then this message appears
'IOSUHAX_open failed
Make sure to run CFW'
how did i do that ?
thank you
You have haxchi from a video guide which probably isn't set up to run CFW.Hmm don't really understand what you mean.
I press Haxchi on my screen menu it bring me there. And after i don't know what to do.
I think haxchi comes with homebrew launcher enabled at default and as Gary said is possibly that the haxchi version he's using is older and it can't load CFWdefault=sysmenu
No button needed.
