I don't make ISO versions anymore. You can, however, install Ventoy to your iODD's HDD partition, and then put the _ISO folder of your ISOs back on it. Ventoy will list all your ISOs from that folder too, so it's kind of a win/win if you do it that way. You're setting it up to be able to boot almost anything out there.

Thanks.
I'd rather not reformat my iODD secured/encrypted drive. The system currently works flawlessly. Is there any way I can convert your img to ISO and boot it from my iODD _ISO folder?

Sadly, not to my knowledge. A better option for you might be to extract the ISOs from the .img using 7-zip. You'd only be losing the fancy Ventoy menu this way, and your iODD could boot the ISOs. (I have an iODD 2531, and I love it with a 500GB SSD inside)

Yeah, I used to have the 2531, but switched to 2541 which I love. :)
The hardware encryption feature is awesome, that's the main reason I don't wanna use ventoy.
I was able to mount your img by renaming the file to .vhd, however it doesn't show up in boot, at least not in UEFI mode.
I am able to browse both partitions (VTOYEFI and medicat) through windows tho.
Such a pity you don't do ISO anymore. Your ISOs were awesome.

I couldn't get a EFI-bootable disc working, and people were tired of BIOS-only botables, and I got tired of having to explain that you need to enable Legacy BIOS/CSM mode in their CMOS settings. Ventoy solved all my problems, and is a fantastic bootloader. Much easier for me to maintain between versions, and gives me the freedom of making MediCat a rolling release. The people needed EFI bootable MediCat, and Ventoy was the answer. I wish there was an easy way to dump a USB stick to a bootable ISO, but I haven't found any that work.

Hello,
I love MEDICAT which has never stopped improving. The latest version works perfectly.
But why is MEDICAT 20.09 created on an NTFS partition? Of course, this allows you to add ISOs of any size without limitation.
But for a better compatibility, it would have been desirable that the creation of the USB key could be done on a FAT 32 partition.
Is this an option that can be possible without having to convert the NTFS partition to FAT 32 after the creation of the bootable USB flash drive?
Thanks to the creator.

It uses NTFS to support ISOs larger than 4GB, and makes it easier to expand the partition, unlike the default exFAT.

Hello,

I just got the time and I updated and expanded my Medicat partition with diskgenius like you suggested in the past. I just cant seem to boot off of it. I don't know much about Vtoy and I don't want to mess with this too much. I did use Rufus to push the image to my flash drive I have tried a few times I just seem to keep breaking it.

Hi, great tool! However as it is built on my 64GB stick, there is a 23GB partition on the "bottom" of USB drive, a 500MB above it, and the rest is is unused.Theerefore 23GB partition cannot be streched. and 35GB are wasted.
I cannot add anything significant as there are only 200MB available in the medicat partition. I used image USB to make the stick.
any clues?

You have to move the 32MB partition to the far right, then you can expand your large partition to fill the drive. Hope this helps.

Thanks, but AOMEI does not allow moving the EFI partition,

I have actually moved the EFI to the far left (not political here :-/ ) but when booting the usb disk I get into a grub command line... Something missing here?

I've never gotten it to boot moving it to the left. I use MiniTool Partition Wizard to move the partitions around, which is in the PortableApps folder of MediCat. Or boot into Parted Magic and use Gparted.

Finally I moved to the right as you said using AOMEI. Actually cloned it to G: at the top (right) of disk, and removed the original partition. Then expanded the main partition to the max. And, but I do not know whether if it was required: in addition I did bcdboot c:\windows /s G: /f ALL (G: the drive letter of the EFI partition).
Et voila! I could boot on another PC.
