Ironically 32bit game need 64bit version of tools to handle.
It is not surprising as 64bit pointer is quite unique so less chance of getting candidate that actually isn't a pointer.
This search consumes 7Gbyte of memory.

The code was made with memory location found on first level. Didn't do much testing. Was more to show that the tool actually produce something. I expect these 32bit games to give more problem than the usual 64 bit ones as far as memory hack goes. In the end it may well be that asm hack is the only way to do it properly.

Yes, that's how the cheat will be, until you take a heart again or when you finish the mission and they make you drink to regain energy. It will go back to the normal Hp you carry.

Today I encounter a very interesting case that I had no awareness before. In this example it is sonic's life count. The assumption would be this memory location stays the same for at least the duration of the stage. I found two address that take turns to be valid. Poking one will change the life count and the other won't but you can't tell before hand which one!
The pointer will switch between the two. See the two screen shot below. Make a dump and happen to choose the wrong memory address -- nothing can be found! There is no significant game transition. Sonic is just standing around.
