Did you create the partition after the clean command?

Unfortunately yes I changed it to mbr. It's disappeared ever since. Maybe because it's SSD? I don't know.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

It should be accesible by pressing F10, or F9.
Then, UEFI is accessible by other keys.
I happen to have both UEFI and "Legacy" BIOS. But BIOS lacks many features, so many that's basically unusble.
Try with other keys.

I'm not super familiarized with UEFI, and I know for sure that you can fix your problem with BIOS as I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate with a USB using BIOS (but that was like in 2010 and just once)

Cool I'll try it tomorrow if it's necessary. This partition recovery is only at 19% and it's been over an hour. So it will probably take all night. Can't do anything until it finishes.

I still will use Medicat or Ultimate Boot CD if necessary as well.

Not many. It's being quietly taken away from new laptops.
Again, I though I didn't had BIOS as using F10 brings the UEFI options, but I can get into BIOS with F8.
It's useless though, the only things I can change is the clock.

Maybe he still owns BIOS like me, and hopefully his BIOS would be actually usable.
I had to google it, I've never ever read that you can "use BIOS" to format a drive.
BIOS is like an OS to configure the motherboard of the PC. It should not be able to format anything.
Which computer has that option from BIOS?

Yes it takes that long. Depends on the size.
Fun story, I once killed my hard drive after literally 2 days of continous "recovery" I unplugged my tower and that killed it for good.
But I got awesome shiny Neodimyum magnets though. It's a fair trade.

Actually... if I'm not mistaken, BIOS is the very first thing you should encounter when building a computer.
This BIOS would automatically detect any drive plugged into the Mother board and install any OS from CD from there.
At least that's how it used to be as far as I know.
Again, I once installed Windows 7 Ultimate via USB using BIOS.

If you want details about mother board and stuff like that I don't know.

But I'll tell you this, it was a 40GB Hard Drive and I had 1GB of RAM...

Even since 7, they've made things more difficult on 10. I'm sure you're right because it has to be possible if you're building a computer.. But as a last resort I may do try it. I still have several of these usb options I'm going to try if this partition recovery doesn't work.

probably going have to reinstall os, you probably didn't finish setting up the ssd through diskpart that why it is not showing up. Typically when it is uefi/bios problem when the bootable iso not showing up.

Can probably find a cracked version of ease us online but I doubt you will recover a bootable os, you just going to get it as a file at most

Looks like your SSD decided to crap out. You can use software to try to recover the data but since its not even showing up its probably not gonna help. The recovery system partition on the drive is probly useless also. Not much of a point to a recovery partition when the entire drive fails. It needs to be on a seperate disc.

You can also get a copy of gandalfs windows 10 Live. Its much better then herons boot disc. It actually runs a version of windows 10 PE off the dvd/usb flash. It will function much like regular windows 10 but you cant really install games and apps like normal windows 10. It has various data recovery tools as it is designed for data recovery.

If i was you, id replace it with a new ssd and install windows on it. SSDs are getting cheaper. You need to download a copy of windows 10 from microsoft. You can use Gandalfs Live cd to download a copy if you dont have another computer. Then either burn the iso to a dvd or use an 8gb flash drive.

Once you get up and running again. Use a backup application such as acronis true image home and make a complete backup of your drive. Then you can make incremental backups as you use the system more and accumulate personal data.

I can not stress backing up your entire c drive more then this. When you have a drive failure, you can just replace the drive and restore the data and it will be like you never had a drive failure. I use acronis true image and it has save me many times. It also lets you burn the recovery boot program on a cd/dvd/usb flash drive.
Making a full copy of your system drive is the best way to prevent this problem.

Heres a video on Gandalfs windows 10 live.

Ok good to know. It sounds like it shouldn't be too difficult to reinstall Windows if I can just recover the partition of the SSD.

I wonder if the SSD could have came loose or something. There's no way it crapped out, it was a brand new laptop that I bought only 3 months ago. I had a bad experience opening a laptop so I won't try that with this $1000 laptop.

Just thinking now about this... do you have warranty or something?
Maybe try asking for a repair or even a new one?

I only had 30 days with Amazon I would have to check with Acer. I have a lot of pirated games and stuff on it though hopefully I won't have to do that. But like all you guys suggestions it's giving me ideas if needed.

I forgot to mention I did this Raid-5 type recovery earlier and it said there was a partition missing. But I couldn't do anything further.

I hate to say this but ssds can die brand new just the same as any other device. The fact that your laptop kept crashing leads me to believe that the drive was failing. Its possible, that the recovery partition is still intact. You could try to clone the revocery partition to a new drive but thats unneeded work. Id just install a fresh copy of windows 10 from microsoft. Your activation data is stored in microsoft's servers. once you install windows 10 again and you go to activate it it will read your computer and find it in the database. it will then activate. You computers oem key is stored in Microsoft's data base.

I Know this because i have replaced failed drives and reinstalled windows 10 from a disc on a brand new drives all the time. once you hit activate it already knows your machine and it activates it. No need to buy another license.

If I'm not mistaken, missing partitions are normal?
I'm not sure, let me look it up.

I'm sure I've seen that same message when I open "Device Manager" in my laptop.

I'm not an expert but I've never heard of a missing partition being normal. It should have shown up in one of the many programs I've ran on Hiren, at least once and also the fact that when I boot the computer it says no bootable devices. It's just a dead partition now that hopefully I can recover but if not I'll have to consider other options.

What sucks is if I have to install windows on the normal hdd one of my main motives of buying the laptop was to have fast boot times and things like that, and that will be gone.

Yes you're right. It's not normal. I got confused.

I might just pay the money and take it to a computer guy if none of these options work. Even though I know they'll overcharge me.

Anyway I appreciate everyones help.

Do you happen to have the "D: RECOVERY" drive?

Don't see it on Hiren anywhere.

It made D: C: but I looked in C: root and nothing. It didn't have Windows so I don't think it would have had Recovery unless I did it manually.

Maybe Captain N is right the SSD is just dead already.

You don't happen to have another computer you can pop the SSD into and check? My guess is that the SSD isn't initialized, when you run diskpart and by list disk command you should see your drive if it not dead, can also check control panel-> administrative tool- computer management-> disk management.

He meant that some computer come with a D: partition specially for recovery when someone messes up the C drive.
