OP
Today has sucked I have a Acer Nitro 5 with Nvidia GTEForce GTX 1650 16 GB Ram that I've only had less than 3 months and paid just under $1000 for.. It was working but doing some weird behavior with the mouse and the screen was glitching, so at first I tried a system restore. It didn't fix it. Then I tried several reboots but then it wouldn't boot at all anymore. I tried all the normal solutions like letting Windows do automatic repair (failed) system restore (failed) and reset PC (failed). I was doing things with command prompt and it said the partition was not there.

Then I was googling around and did a dumb thing I was using DISKPART and did clean and changed to mbr. Ever since I have lost my C: drive. WHen I boot now it says no bootable device. My C: Drive is an SSD with 256 GB while I also have a 2nd internal D: drive 1 TB regular HDD both on internal. So I've been trying to use usb solutions ever since I tried MediaCreationTool but after about an hour it fails to install it to my usb drive. Now I'm using Hiren Boot CD, but I see that the SSD doesn't even exist to it. It's not even showing as unformatted or anything. My D: drive which holds the 1 TB regular HDD with no Windows shows as the C: drive and the only other drive it shows is the usb I have plugged in. I've tried a bunch a programs in Hiren and nothing has fixed it. I was even considering paying for EaseUS recovery and their chat said they could walk me through how to fix it for $199.99 I said no thanks I'll take my chances with a local computer repair shop if I have to. But I thought I would ask here if someone knows how to recovery a deleted partition with Windows on it. It's gone from bad to worse. I would accept going back to it glitching now if i could. :(

DAAAAAAAMN that sucks.
Yes happened to me once.

I solved it by re-installing Windows7 via USB (obviously downloaded previously and turned USB into a booteable drive with software)

I think, if you're able to download the whole operative system, do it and reinstall Windows via BIOS using your USB.

It's probably gone for good.

I think you can completely format your Hard Drives via BIOS and then install Windows in one of them.

HINT: @tempBOT is selling Windows keys. But I don't trust that guy, he's rude, and filthy and he's made of metal and he won't respond to my love letters, only binary.

Why would you buy a key if you already have a license?

Reinstall windows.
What's the big deal?

Get the image from Microsoft webpage.

I don't have my SSD drive anymore. That IS a big deal. Can I install to the other HDD?

I don't think you read my entire post.

huh?
Why dont you have that SSD?

You can still install it on the other drive but you might lose the info on it.

I mean if you're going to help, at least read the entire first post. I said it's gone. Even Hiren Boot CD none of the programs in it can find it. It shows my 1 TB regular HDD as C: and the only other hard drive it shows is the usb that boots Hiren. I'm trying a partition recovery program but it takes a long time.

With BIOS you can format any HDD / SSD / USB Drive into C:

what does "using BIOS" mean?
It means that he should use BIOS.

My bios don't have any option to format or add windows to any partition. It's very limited options in it. I guess it's something Acer does.

It is set to UEFI and there is no option to change it.
It should be accesible by pressing F10, or F9.
Then, UEFI is accessible by other keys.
I happen to have both UEFI and "Legacy" BIOS. But BIOS lacks many features, so many that's basically unusble.
Try with other keys.

I'm not super familiarized with UEFI, and I know for sure that you can fix your problem with BIOS as I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate with a USB using BIOS (but that was like in 2010 and just once)

Before I Give up on the SSD though I'm trying Lazesoft Data Recovery I don't know if it's going to find the partition but it's found a bunch of file system records so I'm hopeful.

If that doesn't work I'm going to try Ultimate Boot CD with PartMagic.

I mean if you want help, explain yourself.
You "don't have the SSD anymore" means you opened the laptop, removed the SSD and tossed it/gave it away/sent it for warraty (that's what I understand with 'I don't have it anymore).
The "it's gone" means that it broke/doesn't power up/isn't detected....
So, which is it?

By the way, Hiren's boot has several versions and is pretty old. I thought it was not mantained anymore. If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't recognisee your drives.
Also, if it doesn't recognise your drives, what are you doing trying to recover a partition of a non-detected drive?

You still haven't read the first post. That's 3 chances. You're not helpful. Ignored.

What does that even mean?
Do laptops still use BIOS instead of UEFI?
Not many. It's being quietly taken away from new laptops.
Again, I though I didn't had BIOS as using F10 brings the UEFI options, but I can get into BIOS with F8.
It's useless though, the only things I can change is the clock.

Maybe he still owns BIOS like me, and hopefully his BIOS would be actually usable.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
