Tbh since the announcement I've played a hella lot of the first Hyrule Warriors (even more than I first did when I bought it when it released on the Switch) and it's really good. I don't understand why people are complaining about muso games being button mashers or something, I mean ... It's not necessary a bad thing. There's some kind of strategy, just a bit, and also reaction because you need to react accordingly to what's happening on the battlefield or you'll loose
But it doesn't need to be much more. Usually the people who complain about the formula being the same are the people who already do not like the formula so eh ... They aren't forced to catter to a public they already do not own and probably will not own even if they listen to them, that's the best way to make a bad game.
The game looks good. I hope it has french VA, that's quite rare but I genuinely think the french VA is much better than the english one (Mipha and Zelda voices in english are .... ugh)
Huh; if it works for you...

I just find non-English VA to be extremely obtrusive and immersion-breaking, since it's essentially gibberish to me. I've been able to tolerate it in anime before, due to the lack of interactivity (and the ability to rewind missed parts), but never in games. Yakuza's all but unplayable, for me, for this reason.

I mean, look at Metal Gear Solid 3. Snake, and everyone else, is actually speaking Russian, but the player hears nothing but English due to Snake being able to understand what's being said - ergo, we're supposed to understand it too. This is why the Persona crew speaking English makes sense, despite being in Japan.
You're not talking about the same thing.
It reminds me of the american of trashed the film Parasite because it didn't had english audio and had to read subtitles. I just think people are used to hear english all the time therefore the moment they hear something else and see that they have to read subtitles, they get shocked. All of what you said before points to that. when you are used to subtitles, you don't really miss any action. Reading is fast, and the subtitles are still on the screen. Therefore when you can read what's on the screen without missing anything of the action, you aren't less immerged into the thing. To be fair you are less immerged when you notice the low quality voice acting, so if you think that the japanese VA is better than the english one, subtitles do not matter, you will have a way better experience with subtitles.
In short : Yes it does make sense.

you do know countrys whose main language is not english people are ususaly very good with subtitles, since young age we see them on eevry game and tv series/movies and whatnot, you dont even notice your reading subtitles anymore really, i watch everything with subtitles since ever, we dont dub most things so its subs for everything, its like a second natuire you dont notice a thing.

The other issue I see here is that you clearly do not care about learning some new languages, at all.
It's your choice, but not a wise one in my opinion.
I've tried to learn Italian and French, back in high school (Year 9), then went to solely Italian in Year 10.
Didn't work.

Back when I was a kid, my mother (who came from Argentina) tried to teach me Spanish, but I only recall scraps of that.
I'm not good at languages...

I didn't like the first one, thought the gameplay was way too repetitive and I got bored quickly. It's too bad, I really want to play this to get all the story that BotW lacked. But I'm probably just going to get bored quickly again.

Damn I was really hoping this was going to be like a Four Swords multiplayer Adventure game hopefully will get that some day again but until the full reviews are out I’ll keep my hopes out that this will be entertaining because the cgi looks great. Now if only Koei/Tecmo can get Ninja Gaiden and Rygar going again :yay:

Hyrule Warriors is probably up there for one my favorite games of all time, and been trying to 100% it. Despite that I really didn't like Fire Emblem Warriors so i'm only a little excited for this sequel. Hope it didn't change too much about what i liked.

That made me chuckle; let me add on to that, by saying at least this will have fun combat and worthwhile mechanics.

Still, pre-ordering a game? When it's not a limited-run thing (such as that 3D All-Stars Collection thing, from what I vaguely remember)? Eeeeh, that's risky and inadvisable. Remember Anthem? Remember Assassin's Creed Unity? Remember Batman: Arkham Asylum PC? No Man's Sky? Pokemon Sword/Shield? People pre-ordered those games, purchased them without being able to know the final quality of the game, whether it was worthy of purchasing or not.

no,no it won't
the first "Hyrule Warriors" ( reskinned dynasty Warriors) was hot garbage"
and this will be no different ,just another lazy cash grab
i agree about BOTW not having a story though
but the combat was not that bad

This game won't have limited stamina or equipment fragility - which means it automatically has better mechanics.
As for combat, I found BotW's fighting to be slow, awkward, and clunky. I've also played both Hyrule Warriors Legends (3DS port) and Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch), and they both have more interesting and fluid combat than BotW - so logically Hyrule Warriors 2 will also have better combat than BotW.

Lastly, I never said the first Hyrule Warriors was "hot garbage"...did you get that from someone else? Sure, I do prefer Fire Emblem W over Hyrule W due to streamlined mechanics and stuff - notifications no longer overwhelm the player, Anna appears in the middle of an indicated fort instead of a Gold Skulltula just being somewhere within the vicinity of the indicator, better menus and "History Mode", etc. - but Hyrule Warriors isn't "hot garbage".
One thing Hyrule W has over FE W is the roster of characters being significantly more balanced; FE W has 11 guys, 19 girls, and 2 both (Corrin and Robin), who by default are female and male respectively, so really 12 guys and 20 girls. There's also only one male axe-wielder, and zero male spear-wielders. Meanwhile, H W has a roughly equal number of guys and girls, and what weapon characters use isn't nearly as important.

those things just make it more challenging it does not necessarily make it bad mechanics it just makes it harder and yes a bit frustrating but i would not call those factors in bad mechanics
and no that was me calling it hot garbage

They are bad mechanics. They add unneeded and unnecessary frustration and hindrances, when the overall experience would be much better without them.
Look at Skyrim, for example - while that game does unfortunately has limited stamina, it has HEAPS of weapons and none of them break.
Or Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey; they have neither stamina nor fragility, making them (especially Origins) quite enjoyable games to play. They also have much faster and more fluid combat than BotW, and thanks to not having stamina, world traversal is quite speedy with no need to slow down just to let an arbitrary gauge refill.

Limited stamina and equipment fragility are awful mechanics and fake difficulty; any sign of either immediately cheapens and worsens whichever game they're in.

i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
