Hello all, I just finished installing my SX Lite, the Switch Lite has 10.1.0 with exfat driver already installed beforehand. I got the blue light green light and the SX OS screen. Prompted to update firmware so I did. After rebooting, the bootloader showed up and immediately went to options to backup the sysnand. All was good until it stopped halfway and froze. The only thing I could do was to hard power off. I powered it on again but this time it is stuck at the SX OS logo. The microsd card used is a 512gb sandisk A1 formatted to exfat. Tried another 3 exfat and 2 fat32 cards, same result. Turns out the 512gb card is fake, I had my suspicions but I reconfirmed with the owner. It is most likely the reason why the backup process stopped halfway but I am not sure how it has anything to do with the stuck at SX OS logo issue. Could writing data to the fake card cause issue to the card reader? or maybe this is something different entirely and has nothing to do with the card reader. The card reader still can detect when there is no card inserted. Would appreciate any input or ideas to try to fix this. Thank you.

Try disconnecting the cables from the SX lite chip and see if it boots up to the original firmware.

Maybe something went wrong while updating your sx lite because of the fake SD Card.
You could try to Connect your sx Lite to your PC and Update your sx lite using the updater.
If it still doesn’t work try to format a verified good SD card in FAT32 with default allocation size.

A little note for the Future: always check your SD cards with h2testw if you Didn’t bought it from a trusted reseller or your don’t know where your SD card came from.
Don’t buy SD Cards from The Flea Market, Ebay, China or Random resellers On Amazon, the chance is very high to get scammed.

You're running 3.0.4 sx os and the 1.3 fw on the sx core? (Pretty sure when it asks you to update the fw, it's updating to 1.3).

fat32 cards also are not recognised.

I had the problem with a switch lite, it turned out that the debug port was the problem. Make sure that the USB port of the debug port is not squeezed.
Found here: https://team-xecuter.com/community/threads/sx-lite-hangs-at-splash-screen.134970/
I even havent closed the metal shield and casing yet, so the debug cable is still straight and not bent in any way.

Yes 3.0.4 boot.dat and 1.3 chip firmware

Now I dont get stuck sx os logo anymore, just a black screen even after the chip signals blue light and green light

Have you tried booting without the usb debug ribbon? It doesn't need to be connected to boot.

Also just for the sake of troubleshooting, you don't have a game cart in the system do you?

yes, no usb debug also same result
correct no game cart inside, I even removed the gamecart reader

by any chance do you know the value of the 2 caps between the microsd card reader and below the chip?

Hi,

I have the same issue there... Just the same thing. Everything went well up to NAND Backup. Then, stuck at 37% during 8 hours, i've done a hard power off and it is stuck on SX OS logo... Have you solved the problem then?

Thank you.

I had it while ago. It was micro sd problem. Make sure you use a quality micro SD and do slow formatting to fat32 then it should boot normally. And yeah, Make sure that the Exfat drive was install in switch nand before you do the emunand.

Thank you for your feedback.

Actually with another sd card formatted and with the boot.dat and license.dat inside I'm able to boot on CFW. However I'm not able to boot sx os menu as it keeps stuck on sx logo when I press volume + and power button. Any idea??

try changing the SD card. This issue is mostly caused by micro sd

That seems a resistor. Ask experts for its value to buy a replacement. It happened to my cousin during installing SX core. He damaged two caps. It was fixed when he replaced them.

It is working again. I've taken an old resistor from a mobile phone and it is working again. Touchscreen and everything!!

congrats bro. Did you also have a touch screen issue? And could you please share the exact location and the resistor specs in case others come across this issue. I know that I had and issue with one after installation where it was exactly like yours. It froze at the SX screen and I didn’t know how to fix it and sold it on eBay.

Yes, it is a 0201 1kohm resistor next to FT9CJ chip that controls the touchscreen.

Here you have two related pictures:
