Hello, World!

Was searching around for help with my new EZ Flash Junior on my GBC, and was wondering if people have had luck with any beta builds or anything else to get the RTC working? I'm playing on a reshelled GBC with an IPS screen, if that matters at all. Newer Firmware FW5 K1.05e.

When I first turned mine on, I got a Dry Battery notice once -- which never popped up again. Cool, it seems to be working then, right? Well, whenever I set the clock to todays date in the EZ Flash settings, it defaults back to 2000/01/01 00:00:00.

I'm trying to play Pokemon Crystal, so this is kind of annoying. I guess I can manually set the clock everytime, but I already know thats gonna get tiresome.

Also, how the heck do I "Fast Reset" to the menu when I'm in a game? The website says something about a button on a cart. Am I missing something?

@EZ-Flash2 Hoping you may be able to help here?

The button is under the shell, you can find it if you look carefully.

talk back the clock, if the clock reset every time when you power up the console.
there are some questions:
1. can you save the game and load the game on next power up?
2. the clock running on the setting page after you set it up?
3. the clock in pokemon running after you set it up, and it will go correct time when you check it in the pack(in current game instance)?

Thanks for the reply!

Yes, the game seems to save just fine. I set it todays date at first, and it worked fine when playing, but when I restarted (and saved) I checked the clock and it set back to 2000. I set the time to 2000/01/01 11:00, and next time I reset it went back to 00:00.

Pokemon works fine, but it will ask me to reset the clock if the date jumps back.

Is the reset button able to be pressed with the case on? Or is it under the plastic? I cant gind any buttons with it in the gameboy.

Forgot to mention that yes, the clock works as its supposed to once its set in Pokemon, but everytime I power off/on, it resets to 2000/01/01 00:00.

Just turned it on, and we're back in 2000 again.

Someone posted a picture of where the button is. Gonna attach it here cause I couldn't find it anywhere. Button works! When I reset to the menu, it keeps the time. When I power off/on, it resets to 00:00.

Gonna try firmware 1.4 now, and using a 32gb Micro SD (this is a larger card). Powering off/on is what sets it back to 00:00

@EZ-Flash2 just put in a 32gb SD card, and still the same issue. When I power off (not reset), the EZ Flash Menu clock starts at 2000/01/01.

Where can I download firmware 1.4? Or is there something else to try?

OK! FIGURED IT OUT!

Per the suggestion of another person in the megathread, I got a replacement battery. Idk how the one it shipped with wasnt working, but this one seems to work!

If your Jr keeps resetting to 2000, get a fresh CR1220 battery.
