Well, crap....I was posting in another thread that someone tossed up as "release". grrrr.
I'll c&p my last post there, haha.

Ok, so I figured it out...my copy of GTA III had HD texture mods applied. So, if anyone was wondering, that's not working, lol.

A few things;
For me, it says Version 1.0 in the top left corner of the screen at all times. Is this normal? Any way to remove it?
Also, when I try to close the game I get an error. I think Half-Life did the same thing, not sure if this is common/expected though. EDIT(I see that's known)
I had a strange audio glitch when I finished the first mission. The cha-ching sound was a garbled bit of weirdness. My audio files aren't compressed, so not sure if this a common issue or not. Certainly not a big deal, but I figured I'd report it regardless.
Saving seems to work! Successfully saved my game, and was able to load it back up upon reboot.

So BIG thanks goes to the creator! THANKS!!!

I haven't hacked my Switch, but this is pretty cool, I always love seeing reverse-engineered source code working out. My initial thought was "Hey, I should try porting this to the original Xbox"... Before I remembered there's an official port to the console.

Is it possible to disable widescreen? Everything looks very stretched, would love to go back to original screen ratio.
Iirc this would mean that image would be aligned to top left or bottom right. There is no native option in Switch to render image centrally.

The GTA3 "port" is way more remastered than any modern remaster.

Thank you very much for the GTA 3 port!

But ...
The same people are working on a decompilation of Vice City too, which is going great so far. I'll try to port it as well when it reaches a serviceable state.
That would be such a dream coming true for me! Hopefully this happens one day, especially if we can throw our own (80's) MP3s in a folder for that sweet radio music while driving around the beach!

Ahh, I get’cha. I own a copy, I just haven’t gotten around to playing it yet. I did play the PS2 port for a while though.

ps2 was the original release
October 2001 for the PlayStation 2
May 2002 for Microsoft Windows
October 2003 for the Xbox.

i thought the pc port did allow you to use your own mp3

Question:How do I play my own MP3 files in-game?

Answer:

1. Copy your MP3 files to the C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\MP3 folder.

2. Start GTA 3 and select the OPTIONS screen

3. Select AUDIO SETUP

4. Cycle through the Radio Stations until you come to the one on the far right named MP3 PLAYER

5. Start the game and you will be able to play your MP3's.

NOTE: The MP3 Player option ONLY appears when MP3 files have been placed into the MP3 folder

I can't even get it to boot, tried copying the files from both the cd release from the gta trilogy and the steam release, it crashes right after the gta splash screen. Are there any special options I need set? On fw 10.2.0, latest atmosphere and hekate with fusse secondary.
