Have a Switch that was charging at 5v 0amps both sides of the cable, i replaced the M92T36 and and USB port was soldered back on as the previous owner just held it down with the screws. now it charges on one side at 15v with normal charging Amps, flipping the cable i get 5v 0.00Amps.

also when connected to charger the D+ and D- become shorted together, when i remove the cable theres no more short. B5/CC2 also shorts with VBUS.

anyone have any clues?

thanks

Check the 7C/DUG protection diode on the underside of the motherboard. I had one doing this and the diode had failed. If you look back through my posts, you should find a picture

Had this one in today, looks like some models don’t have either fitted.
