Hi GBAtemp,
I am in the process of trying to install Wii Ware wads to EmuNAND and access them on USB loader GX.
When I install the wads with USB loader GX Wad Manager, the EmuNAND wads/apps have no banners (just like a wrong game ID for a wbfs).
When I launch them, they chuck me back to the main Wii Menu.

This is an issue for the 15 games I've tried!!!

I am wondering if the files and wads have to be sorted into folders (eg like wbfs) and have the game Id as the wad name, like wbfs.
Would this work?

I can post info as needed (syschecks etc) but I am really stumped on this. I've searched this site and Wii guides for days.
Nothing on my issue.

I've been turned around by two separate Discord Supports, and this is really my last resort.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

After trying to do this within USB loader GX: Cyan's guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-do-...properly-utilize-emunand.437521/#post-6592730

:( Didn't work.

And with ModMii: Cyan's guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/driver-san-francisco-hangs-on-load-screen.389252/#post-5508831

 Still didn't.

Now I have a Neek2o channel installed on EmuNAND, and can view it with USB loader GX. It however, doesn't launch from it.

 Black screen.

I tried switching to neek mode with nswitch homebrew, however, got this:

nSwitch v2.2 (c) 2013 OverjoY

Switching to "realnand" mode...
Mounting USB device... done!
Checking MBR...
No valid "FAT" partition found
Mounting SD-card...
done!
Checking for kernel.bin... found!
kernel.bin size: 220792
Loading kernel.bin into memory... done!
Loading mini mod into memory... done!
Reloading bootmii IOS!

:glare: It just stayed there.

I then tried loading neek through USB loader GX's built in neek mode.

 Black screen. Again.

So I installed BootMii again but into a cIOS thanks to this link: https://gbatemp.net/threads/neek2o-trouble-loading-channel-and-from-cfg.380247/

 Same Results. As ever.

@Cyan , or anybody, please tell me what I am doing wrong!

!!!!It would be greatly appreciated!!!! :yay:

I am down to my last attempts, I have no other options.

Thanks.

Try to use a different ios to load the games, for me the 245 works on almost all games, but there are a few ones that needs to enter neek mode and that's other process, i recommend you to install the wads using the program showwmiiwads on a PC

I was able to install the emunand and the wad files from usb loader gx, and they seem to play just fine, but when I download the game art the discart files are missing so my channels are blank. I would have expected the discart to be installed with the wad files, like when I normally install a wad file to the system nand.

@pinkembers Ok try to install the same game but use the program a mentionate before (showmiiwads) maybe is a problem with usb loader gx

I did as you said and installed the wads to the emunand with showmiiwads instead and got the same result as before, no discart images, blank screen when I select any title, but the game loads and plays fine. I did not test all of them because I have 340+ wads I am installing, but the ones I tried all played fine.

Installing any of the wad files to the system nand does not give me any problem and displays the discart as normal and when you select the channel it shows the full channel screen. I can install a wad to the system nand, and dump the system nand to the emunand and the wad will be installed correctly with discart.

Not sure where to go from here.

Is there a way to use showmiiwads to decompile the discart and loading screen images from the wad files themselves and just put them in the discart directory?

discart, or animated banner ?

discart are still pictures, provided by gametdb.com website.
animated banner are extracted from the channel folder itself and copied to usbgx folder on your SD (or usb, but you better use SD card !!)
if the banner is not properly extracted or found by usbgx when installing wads to emuNAND manually (from the loader or from showmiiwad), you can find the banner file yourself (one of the extracted files is the banner).
I don't remember the name, it could be .0 or .1 etc.
if should be located in title/idHigh/idLow/

then put the file in usbgx/bnrcache (or the proper folder, I don't have memory for that, look your OWN user's path settings to find the proper folder!) and rename the file TitleID6.bnr

to resume : look how other channel work, do the same.

discart, or animated banner ?

You are correct, WiiWare titles don't have discart. I am missing banner images or animated banner. I kept getting a message that the discart files where missing when I was downloading images from gametdb and I thought that was what the problem was, but after you clarified the usage of the phrase "animated banner" a quick search found a gba temp thread of someone who had the same problem, and it seems to be a bug in usb loader gx with folder names, and I just had to rename my nand folder and place the nand in the root of the nand folder for it to work.

they do, but only if you select them as cover mode instead of banner mode in the loader.
though, not all might have one.

Oh, I'm glad you could fix it with a simple renaming of your folder :)
