@DarkAkuma Hehe, told ya there would be a "regular" update this month! I'm surprised you haven't heard about The Peace Keepers since it's kinda well-known back in the day. Maybe you know it by it's Japanese game since it's the third game in the Rushing Beat series (the other two being Rival Turf and Brawl Brothers) and the other two have come out on Virtual Console / SNES Online already. The other two games in the series obviously have Preset IDs but I doubt there's any vacancies near them or you would obviously have checked out The Peace Keepers before, so that's no help...

I actually like that it's coming out here since while it's nowhere near the top of the beat 'em up genre, it's a serviceable game that people probably remember seeing in magazine coverage back then and maybe wanted to try out, and now that it's coming out next to DKC2 they can check it out. That's one of the advantages of a service like this vs the old Virtual Console, where people might not be inclined to spend $8 on a game they are just curious about but might actually get to play for a bit if it comes out with other more appetizing games.

As for the other games, I'm a huge fan of Picross games and it's always great to see Japan only releases make it over; DKC2 speaks for itself and SCAT is a lot of fun (like everything Natsume did back in the NES/SNES days. It's not so much that they are reaching as it is that they have simply reached the end of what they can add themselves without having to deal with other companies. DKC3 and Earthbound iare pretty much the only big non-licensed first party games left and even with those they have to deal with Microsoft and Shigesato Itoi to some extent (not that's going to be much of a problem). They're probably going to add some other console to the service soon-ish (next year?), as we've already speculated, and now that the Mario 3D All-Stars collection revealed the names of the N64 and GC/Wii emulators, it's probable that the other emulator referenced in old versions of the SNES Online app was for the Game Boy, so that might be it. Also, since 3D All-Stars was announced as a temporary release, it's been kinda obvious that the individual games will be available by themselves at some point after March 2021 in some form.

You can't ask that here, it's against the rules

For NES, you don't need that version specifically, just the base app without updates will do if you reset the required update with Goldleaf (or whatever the cool kids use nowadays). Of course, you won't have any features added in any updates (mostly Rewind, I guess) and you'll have to add the extra official games yourself, but it'll work.

Ah. I have heard of those of course. But they werent popular around here in the 90's. I probably didn't hear of that series until creating the preset id list.

Makes sense why its included now!

Yea. There's nothing nearby the others in the preset id list. IDK. Maybe this might end up being one of the unknowns in the 0x1119-0x1158 range because it may have been a planned WiiU released that never came out. That would be interesting!

Did you see anything about Super Mario 3D All Stars?
So far they have not been able to replace or add more N64 and GC games, the result is black screen or app crash, as the emulators are also from NERD I thought you might be interested, as a future N64 / GC Online would use the same emulator.

I was told that it was found that the game has ROMs for those games in it is all. I haven't looked at things myself. I figured someone thats more interested in the 3D games would. I'm generally a SNES fan first and foremost. Is there a particular lack of someone digging in and investigating?

My theory, based purely on speculation and previous knowledge, is that the emu code is likely forked and heavily customized for each game. Unlike canoe that has game specific customization, but is largely broadly compatible. Part of this theory is based on the little i know of previous N64 emulation on GC/Wii, and part of its based on that they do resolution and UI image enhancements. To me, that stuff would require hooking game specific routines and memory addresses.

I suspect that for n64 at least, only different versions of SM64, and maybe the Zeldas would work. Just cause those games are all based off of the the same in house Nintendo engine.

IDK. Maybe I'll try giving it a look, but I cant make any promises.

There are several ways to install. Which ones have you tried?
Because not all work with outdated software, it will result in forcing an update.

Where is the word versions here I don't see it.
You list versions, I didn't ask for versions.
I give up.

Not very helpful....what is it that you are trying to achieve? Hacked switches do not work with the stand alone NES/SNES APP after a certain update they end up with a blank screen after certain updates and none of the games show.
