Okay, so: you need to copy both the ROM and the save file off the SD card to somewhere on your PC, and then open the ROM in No$GBA. As long as the files are named correctly, No$GBA should automatically recognize the save data and open it accordingly. No conversion should be necessary.

Can you open the ROM in No$GBA?

All right, I had a closer look.

There should be a folder named BATTERY in the same folder as NO$GBA.EXE. You need to copy the .sav file from the SD card and put it in that folder.

Experiment a little. See if you can figure it out. If you want more help, you're going to have to provide more details about exactly what files you have on your SD card.

At this point do you even know how you're going to "do the event content on the emulator" like you wanted to? Because I certainly have no idea, and it's probably much more difficult than any of this.

If anyone have Everdrive GBA x5 flashcart with 3 different kind of save file extension need to rename. Save file use .srm (sram), .eep (eeprom), .fla (flash) instead of .sav. Just copy save file to computer hard drive / SSD then rename .srm (sram), .eep (eeprom), .fla (flash) to .sav and running with ROM on DeSmuME / NO$GBA / mGBA / VisualBoyAdvance emulator. Save file still show up on DeSmuME / NO$GBA / mGBA / VisualBoyAdvance emulator.

If want copy gba save file (DeSmuME / NO$GBA / mGBA / VisualBoyAdvance emulator) to Everdrive GBA x5 flashcart must rename .sav to .srm (sram), .eep (eeprom), .fla (flash) on microSD card then will work just fine.

Oh no? That's disappointing. I was hoping I could use that to get a Surfing Pikachu on my Pokemon Yellow cart someday. Do you have more details?

Oh by no means a GB/GBC save can be dumped with a game boy player. The way of dumping a save from a GBP is the same as it is in a regular GBA and that is by "exploiting" (because not really exploited) the multiboot option. Sadly, you cannot save/restore from a GB/GBC cart since the GBA in GBA mode (to use multiboot) doesn't have enough voltage to power up the GB/GBC cart to read the save.

And I was mistaken. It has the option to restore a save.

Okay, everyone. I just realized that I am breaking the rules. I'm sorry about this. I'm new to the site and didn't see the rules. Please disregard everything I said in this group.

How is transferring save files breaking the rules? It's pretty reasonable discussion for the forum.

I agree. This thread has certainly been more than a little weird, but definitely not rule-breaking, @Twilight1991 . People come down pretty hard on rule-breakers here. You were even dumping your own cartridge ROM; most people don't even bother with that step.

And now that you've deleted your posts, people with similar questions in the future will not be able to benefit from this exchange.

HI, looking for help on this same subject,

I have multiple genuine copies of the same GBA game, one with many hours and 100% completion (I'll call this 100% GBA Cart #1), the other with zero save gameplay (I'll call this cart #2). using the GBA backup tool loaded onto an R4 ds cart plugged into my original gen 1 DS, can I download the cart #1 save data into the DS R4 cart, then insert cart #2 into the DS and upload the save data from cart #1 onto cart #2.

in short re-writing the cart #2 save file with cart #1 save file.

In short: do what it says for "normal carts", except do not press R twice - that will backup the save to the microSD instead of the rom; you then figure out where it's stored (should be inside a folder in the root of the card), add the save you want to program (which must be a raw uncompressed "battery" save), then you open the Rudolph's GBA Backup Tool another time, press R 1 time, and follow the onscreen instructions for writing the save to slot-2 :)
Hi, this did not work for me. I'm using an R4 card to transfer my Pokémon Emerald Emulator .sav to my Cartridge. The only thing that works is saving a backup from the cartridge and restoring that same data onto slot -2. For example I had a save backed up onto the R4 from the original cartridge and was able to copy that same .sav over to another copy of Pokémon Emerald. Clearly there is some issue with the Emulator ROM .Sav, but I can't figure out a solution, nor can I find a forum that does.
