The Wiimote rumbles. You can put the Wiimote on your lap, stomach, around your neck or wherever. The result is the same.
no it isn't lol it just sucks, not to mention CC stick are handicapped as hell, they have tiny values so they are much more imprecise than wiiu pro or gc controller through the adapter, so for me unless i have no other choice i would use it but without rumble, the wiimote might even slip off with rumble.

I don´t want to discuss this here (just wanted to praise the rumble feature). I will investigate for myself: F-Zero GX has a value meter somewhere in the options/controls menu.
you dont need to invistage its a known fact
if my memory doesnt faill me the left stick is something like 1-128 and the right stick is 1-69 or something while wiiupro and gc controller both sticks are 1-255 or something so CC is much less accurate since it has much fewer values.

n00b question, I have Nintendont on my Wii U, can I use the Wii U gamepad (I have it as a forwarder so its compatible) as player 1 and a Dualshock 3 as player 2?

latest nintendont is bugged with wiiu injects and usb controllers so normaly i would say of course but since i dont know the version you have im gonna go with depends.

you can use this mod here by garyodernichts which he fixed the latest nintendont so it wouldnt crash with wiiu injects plus usb controlllers, so yes you can do what you asked for, yopu can even do something crazy like
player 1 wiiu gamepad
player 2 ps3 controller
player 3 wiiu pro controller
player 4 wiimote+classic controller
if you want

Does this also fix the black screen problem that everyone seems to have?

not everyone has it lol, i never had it, most people who have this issue have something wrong on their setups or wiiu doesnt have the needed checks or whatever, its a matter fo trying it.

yeah it didnt fix anything for me. its weird because whenever I launch nintendont off the wii u forwarder, 1 or 2 times out of 10 itll work. If the wii u doesnt have the needed checks or if theres a problem with the setup like you said, is there a way to sort everything out?

no idea
i had a guy that had the same issue as you so i gave him a homebrew channel fowarder with gamepad compatibility so he could start in vwii homebrew channel and launch nintendont from there, but guess what? the fowarder for the homebrew channel failled as often as the direct to nintendont, which shows some wiius have troble getting rebooted into vwii mode through the fowarder and it has nothing to do with nintendont, dont know if its becuause their wiiu is too slow to do the stuff or too fast, some people just have issues using the vwii fowarders nintendont or otherwise, do you have alot of stuff in wiiu memory? maybe too full? maybe vwii is too full? who knows, no one ever figured out why some people have issues booting into vwii fowarders.

I actually have the same problem with the Homebrew forwarder as well. My Wii U isnt full at all, I only got it like 5 or 6 days ago and installed haxchi 4 days ago; I have nothing installed on it except for Haxchi, homebrew launcher, and the Nintendont forwarder. I thought it would be as easy as 3DS modding(lol). Super frustrating since I got this Wii U mainly for Nintendont and it doesnt even work

in my experience, launching vwii homebrew channel and then backing out to wii u, launching cfw and then using the forwarder works everytime, even though it sucks to do lol

well it works if you just start vwii normaly and start from there. lol no gamepad support but you can use nintendont xD

could be the wiiu is too empty lol and moves too fast who knows xD maybe try installing some stuff on vwii and wiiu mode maybe connecting to the internet or something, maybe there is some file missing or gets skipped no one knows for sure why some random people have issues using the forwarders while other not.

Sounds like a chore, but if it'll get it to work, it'll get it to work. My homebrew forwarder has a blue screen, not a black one. so maybe its a different problem. Still gonna try it tho, better than not

If I cant find a fix I might have to format my Wii U and try the process all over again to see if itll do anything hopefully

if you have cbhc installed then dont format without uninstalling cbhc first or you will brick the wiiu.

For those who use Nintendont on the Wii U gamepad, any thoughts on this?:
Is the video width parameter's upper limit of 720 a hardware limit, or just something that seemed like it would be plenty? I ask because even with the width set to 720, games like Smash Bros. Melee are still too narrow (circular objects are tall ovals and so on).
If it is possible to increase the upper limit I'm sure I'd be able to find a number that would be correct for any setup.
I don't want to seem ungrateful, thank you for making any of this possible in the first place!

EDIT: Additional info that might help.
I'm using a Wii U and starting Nintendont through a VC inject to get gamepad support. However, I used to use Nintendont by booting into the vWii and starting it with the Homebrew Channel and it was the same then. The aspect ratio displays incorrectly on the gamepad as well so it's not an issue with my TV. Lastly, I've tried my Wii U in 1080p mode, 720p mode and 480p mode and the behaviour was identical.

like i said the ssbm pal version is imune to width so even if you had 1000 it wouldnt change a thing, some games are imune to the width setting, surprisingly smash bros ntsc does work with width lol.

Hi all I am using nintendont on vWii or Wii U. I am having trouble with my game cube controllers not working I do have one original controller as well. The others are aftermarket but I cant get any to work even the original and the orignal works on my wii. So it isnt the controller. I am using a nyko controller retro hub to plug in the game cube controllers to the wii usb ports. This doesnt seem to work. Can anyone help me get this going?

the only way to use gc controller on wiiu with nintendont is using the official wiiu gc adapters or some 3rd partys like mayflash and such that people coded over time, im guessing no one ever made an ini device for that hub since i never saw anyone refer to it.

to get it to work you would need to make your own ini file for that device.
