So just to confirm, Galaxy is running on an emulator not a port?
Galaxy seems to be this weird hybrid between a port and an emulator.
On the port side, it seems CPU bound stuff was recompiled to work natively on the switch.
On the emulation side, the GPU bound stuff has stayed the same, and runs in the GameCube/Wii emulator.

That's not to say that EVERY game needs this to be done in order to get Wii games working, but for now, N64 and GameCube games confirmed working. Not heard anything about anyone working on anything exact yet though.

Luigi's Mansion seems to boot and work with swapped .gcm (First 5 minutes anyway!)
Oh dear.. there goes my whole day..
Edit: The first cutscene didn't play at all. I'm guessing it's something to do with hagi.config?
Didn't touch the rom.json or hashes at all and seems to work right out of the box?
also, any CPU OC? does it drop frames?

Edit: Apparently, about 46% complete, which seems to be going quite speedy!
That's awesome! I would love to know whenever it's complete. Where should I go to look?

Sorry mate. I was had, and thought i was sharing something informative :/
I mean, they will eventually figure it out - possibly even within the week. As these things go, we will get some program with GUI to inject our n64 / GameCube games with your icon of choice as installable NSPs and that's it. Nothing to see here yet but glad that it's happening. Still excited to learn about the performance, though.

It would be expected that you rip the employed roms from your own cartridges and GameCube disks, though.

Welp uhhh I was wrong again, I am extremely impressed that they pulled off Gamecube emulation in handheld mode though, since apparently Galaxy's game code was half-ported over, with only GPU and audio code being emulated for the Wii.

I think the coolest thing would be to add games in addition to what is already there, but I'm unsure if that is outside the scope of layeredFS

Might not even need to be via LayeredFS. Have you had a look at these SNES Online-mega-packs with hundreds of additional games? No replacements, just additionals.

It seems there's a seperate NCA for each game, but you could probably edit the menu to add in new icons (via bflyt & bfres editing maybe?), they wouldn't work without more tampering though

That would be the tits. The possibilities with this are near endless. ESPECIALLY if they figure out how to redirect to OUTSIDE the "game" file to external roms.

Not sure if the game is hardcoded to launch from the existing NCAs it has or if a different angle would be needed to achieve More Games™

I'm sure whatever way it gets used, the top men will make it as painless as possible.
From the little bit that i've seen, it SEEMS like it could be easy enough. Just gotta work out some kinks.

Someone is talking about this stuff on Twitch right now, but I cannot understand them due to them speaking spanish. Maybe someone who speaks english and spanish would be as kind as to do a translation with major notes?

For now, let's just use Layered FS to importe GCM files, then let's create a IPSwitch patch to change the rom to load on the fly? :/

Actually, more important, what games are running correctly with it?
We have a lot of things to try now lmao.

Of course, it happen the day that I'm not home with Fiber connection, but instead shared weird 250kbps wifi lmao
(also, don't have my USB C cable, nor SD card reader, noice)

Did you guys every cross checked with checksum if they are clean roms and not made optimized for the switch by nintendo? aka fixing polys and so on to increase performance?

Did a code review to check if something is different?

No you just talk out of your ass as if you know everything about this.
We know it has 3 Emulators N64,GC and Wii with given Games, not much more.
