Hello,

Thank you for your work especially for the nursery ^^

A question
there is a way to have a code to re-enter a particular type of pokemon (like the code for the legendary Zarude type )?

ex = I only want to see that Venipede / Shinx (etc...) at random or overworld

if it's possible of course

Whenever i activate codes for the game, it starts to have a frequent stuttering for like half a second every 1-2 seconds. anyone has that problem too?

using sxos 2.9.4 and FW 9.2.0, FAT32 SD Card

Euh

For Encounter Specific Wild/Egg/Fossil Pokemon Codes (Part 2 - Species Selector)

It's possible to have the code for other pokemon (shinx, Horsea, Kangaskhan, Comfey etc ...) ?

I'm new to the codes and having these problems, really appreciate your help:

1. Does anybody know how to 999x "Max Mushrooms" and "Armorite ore" in Shield? I tried:
- 999x battle items
- 999x other items (both 1 & 2)
- 999x pickup/unhold items
but none works.

2. Fast breeding codes always crash my game. Other codes work fine. Anyone else has the same issue and know how to solve it?

3. Hold L/R to clear & create a purple beam doesn't work.
- I try to hold L while standing in front of an active den, the red beam doesn't go away. Tried to move away from the den and hold L, the red beam is still there
- I try to hold R while throwing the Wishing Piece, I still get random red/purple beam as normal (like the code doesn't work)

Thanks in advance!

Yes, its simply a matter of editing the 2nd code to match the National Dex # (which is in Hexidecimal).

Does anybody know how to 999x "Max Mushrooms" and "Armorite ore" in Shield? I tried ... 999x pickup/unhold items

The Pickup / Unhold works for these items perfectly fine. Just remember those codes are VERSION exclusive so the Sword code does nothing/crash Shield and vise-versa.

Fast breeding codes always crash my game. Other codes work fine.

Once again, most codes (including those ones) are version specific. If you are crashing, either your game version (Sword vs Shield) is incorrect OR the game's software version (this thread is for v1.2.1 codes ONLY) is incorrect.

Hold L/R to clear & create a purple beam doesn't work.

This is either the same issue as above... you are using the incorrect cheats. Also, since the code doesn't clear the active Raid... this can also be an issue with you not clearing enough Active Raids to add another to the Wild Area you are in. The Wild Areas (Mainland, Isle of Armor, & Crown Tundra) each have a cap for the # of active Raids which the game will display. There is a max of 1 Wishing Piece Beam and a max of 1 non-Wishing Piece Beam which is Purple per Wild Area.

The code was programmed to allow a player to replace the current Raid Beam at a Den with a Purple Raid Beam (aka when the Raid at that Den is Red.) It was not designed nor can the game due to it's caps handle you adding more than a single Wishing Piece Raid Beam to the map.

First I really appreciate your response.
For more information, I'm running Pokemon Shield, and when I go to Home -> Album -> Cheat, I can see my title ID is `01008DB008C2C000` and build ID is `896900182175428B`
I can't find where to check if my version is `1.2.1` or not. Can you tell me how to check with Tinfoil v8.10/SXOS v3.0.2? I actually update my game a few days ago...
Thank you so much!

@Th3Alic3 is there a shiny code that keeps shiny locked encounters non-shiny?

The short version is this is impossible.

The easiest way I can explain it is to compare to baking a cake. You have a receipe and a bowl where the ingredients go. The code works by editing what is the bowl. So, it doesn't matter that the game's shiny lock (aka the reciepe) says no shiny (let's say sprinkles)... the code still forces the sprinkles (aka it being shiny) into the mix bowl. This is the same for all the other modifiers.

A code that alters a Pokemon in Gen 8 this way will ALWAYS ignore the in-game restrictions.

@Th3Alic3 Any way to make a shiny rate lock at a different rate anyway? For example make the standard rate of 1/4096 a standard rate of 1/512 ?

Only codes I've ever found are guaranteed shiny, but I'd just like to hunt at previous gen rates 1/512 DexNav and SOS etc

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
