Since you can use HBC, you can totally skip the LetterBomb(or other exploits) steps. You may update your HBC from within HBC or just download Hackmii installer and run it from HBC. Do read the guides generated by Modmii.

@tswntk I finally got to it and followed your advice and to download hackmii. I followed the ModMii guide, reinstalled HBC, went to BootMii and backed the nand so I will be at peace. Then installed a bunch of wads, out of all 40 or so 7 could not be installed (-1078) or something similar. Then got LoaderGX and put Okami in for the test, and it worked! Then as @XFlak said I downloaded syscheck and it found some stub ios (although I don't know what it means). Homebrew Browser didn't work, and kept retrying (-81) something. At the end I put 50gigs of games on the HD and woke up my wife at 2 in the night to play Dead Space with me. I was overjoyed! Thank you so much for helping me! But I have a couple of questions I would be glad if you could answer.
1. Are those 7/40 ios critical? I kept retrying but it failed.
2. I could not put BootMii in boot2, is it bad?
3. Are the stub ios need to be "delt" with? Is this bad?
4. Can the HbBrowser be repaired?
5. If you could recommend the best way to emulate all the OG classics (snes,genesis,gba,gc,n64 etc..)?

Letterbomb is an exploit for [some versions of] the Wii Menu, Indiana Pwns is an exploit for one or two games [different regions imply different titles], and the Wii only ever runs 1 title and 1 ios at the same time, it's impossible for them to conflict
They do nothing (will freeze the system is loaded, because according to the above definition, if the current ios does not work there's no other ios running)
They were invented to reduce the size of the operating system (the Wii can't officially be downgraded, so why keep things that are only used for abandoned system titles?) and to annoy CIOS users
Your model of Wii is inferior (on this specific issue) to those that were made before late 2007, too bad for you, but you can live fine without since Priiloader gives even better recovery options for non-full bricks
They're not inherently bad for the same principle, and Modmii will encourage you to replace all wii menu ioses (11, 20, 30, etc) with non-stubs to avoid some downgrade-caused full bricks, while you will remove the 249 one when installing a cios over it, etc

"Best" is vague, if you're looking for accurate emulation a Wii is rarely the best place to find it, but if you want accurate video output ("240p") or optimized controls (wiimote motion sensor for Warioware Twisted, etc) you will certainly come to appreciate the Wii (the last console with a big homebrew scene)!
Between wiibrew, the site I linked above, and probably the new HBB you will easily find most non-tool homebrew

Just 1 thing to add, ModMii classic has download links for a number of emulators and other things that are (j)ust for fun. They are stable and working, but there maybe have been new updates or mods since I've last updated them

it all depends on what wads are you installing and where you get them.
Not all sources are safe and installing bad wads can brick you system.
We need more info on the wads and if you got them with Modmii, maybe XFlak can help you.
@XFlak Everything I did was with ModMii and generated guides. The first one (ios36 i think) was from the few when I installed HackMii. And the later 6 was when I selected the very top option then chose to renew/update a few apps. I have photos of them all.

About the emulators,@tswntk I know the Wii is not a powerhouse but what other place to play OG classics era games from NES to PS1(not including, I'll get a ps3 to do it later). I just thought someone could give me his personal favorite's or the "considered best".

Everything listed in your modmii generated guide is safe to install. If u are uncertain or misplaced your guide, feed modmii your syscheck log and it will tell u if further action is advisable
I have no doubts in the integrity of the files. I just asked if they are critical for the system to operate correctly because in the guide it said to try multiple times, and I did more over... But they failed to install.

Ah I see now you edited your post and have listed 7 specific files, those are not crucial, just don't try pointlessly downgrading and you'll be fine
Like XFlak said, those wad are not crucial though would make you softmod more "complete", maybe post the latest syscheck report here to ensure your other wads are installed properly?
What are the error messages? Which wad manager are you using? Wii remote with or without motion plus? It would be nice to find out the actual causes.
Unfortunately, I am not a fan of emulators on consoles. I play with emus on my PC and my 24" full HD monitor. I can link up my PC to my HDTV if I really wanted to. My only complaint is: there is no decent free cover flow apps for the PC but the windows explorer does the job with its fast response and file associations.
Hi! I'm currently running wii 4.2U and I've run modmii to install bootmii & priiloader successfully. The issue now is I can't get access to my system menu. It's just a blank screen. Pls advice. Thanks!!

Make sure you don't have a priiloader system menu hack enabled to force a blackscreen.
If you followed your guide correctly this should not have happened. What guide did you follow and did u skip steps? Can you access the HBC via the bootmii menu? If so, can you post a Syscheck?

1. I've confirmed in priiloader, I did not force a blackscreen for system menu.
2. I followed your guide and successfully modded another wii. This 2nd wii can only access to priiloader, bootmii (boot2) and hbc.

Switch to 4.1J or 4.3J, by reinstalling the system menu I'm hoping it will fix your issue (modmii doesn't instruct u to install a new system menu wad if the starting and ending firmware are the same). Be sure to immediately reinstall priiloader exiting the HBC though just in case (because installing a new SM effectively uninstalls priiloader in the process and it would need to be reinstalled again afterward
