I tried Awoo like 4 times and have not been able to launch what it installs.

Now I'm trying GoldLeaf: is it normal for it to just freeze my whole system while it's trying to install?
Make sure your signature patches are good, and make sure you're using blawar's Tinfoil.

Ok guys, ive been out of the scene for a while, just dusted off my switch and it's a 4.10
Can someone recommend the best hack, or would a modchip be the way forward?
I' don't play online (actually it's my daughter's and she doesn't play online) and I'm looking to try and source some images at some point to play.
Is the Switch RCM vulnerable? Either test it or look up the serial number.

I have a clean OFW latest update and a EMUmmc that I need to update to the latest FW atmosphere.

Should I need to make a backup of my OFW or EMUmmc?? Because last time I didn't
Update the emuMMC using Daybreak. You can make a backup of the emuMMC beforehand, but you probably don't need to if you already have a sysMMC backup on hand.

Hey everyone! Got a few basic questions that will probably be more opinion-based answers that facts but I'd like any info possible. I should add that I'm proficient with soldering and programming/technical BS.

Ok, I'm very involved with exploiting other devices. I own and have modified/exploited most modern consoles. Every Playstation device, Wii, Android and Apple devices, etc.
However, I have zero experience with Switch exploitation. None. In fact, I only have a Switch Lite due to a wicked good deal on a brand new system and I've still barely played it. I want to mod it just to have a reason to use it, tbh. I like it but I find myself using my Vita more due to it being modified. Anyway....

My question:
Seeing as the only option for the Switch Lite is SXCore Lite, a hard mod that presents a lot of positives and apparently some negatives (or things to be wary of to avoid brick), should I wait for another method? I'm not in any hurry but I also would like to use my Switch Lite...ever.
Is there anything else being spoken about at all? I work on PS4 and Vita so I have a decent ear to the ground there but know next to nothing about the Switch scene. Looking into it just now it seems VERY robust but disjointed and full of info that contradicts other info. It's a lot of
"X works but avoid Y and Z if using X but not if using A and X but maybe if using B, C and X because..." stuff. There seems to be a ton of options but also none that come free of major issues or dependencies.
I gathered that the Switch Lite is probably not going to get a software method...maybe ever. At least anytime soon but I have no idea about a different hardmod coming down the pipe, etc.
Basically, does SXCore seem to be it for the Switch Lite for the foreseeable future or is anyone else waiting for a better solution?

Probably most importantly, is there anyone that has modded their Switch Lite here that wishes they didn't (for any reason I should know)? Be it a random brick or a desire to go back to stock FW/use again?

Thanks and sorry to make my first post a novel.
There isn't even any known exploits for patched consoles past firmware 7.1. It would be even harder to find an exploit for Switch Lites as those use an upgraded chip so the chances of an exploit working on Erista units also working on Mariko units is very slim. In my opinion, its not worth getting a Lite at all since its harder to hack and has less features than the original Switch model. You should get an unpatched unit as not only will it be guaranteed hackable until the end of time but also has more features than the Lite.

considering my switch is on version 8.1.0
(AMS 0.9.1) and i want to play offline and use the hbg shop for downloads

what will be the best next step? update to ofw 10.1.0 and then to atmosphere 0.14.2?
i'm asking only because maybe the all patches thing of 10.0.X sucks, and the fact that i have not updated for a long time can come to my advantage.
K, updated, used latest atmosphere, and
these patches
https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-fusee-primary-only.567542/

everything works like a charm,

Tried that and unfortunately it has the 'supernag'
Am I right in thinking it'll be a chip?
Are you sure it's not RCM vulnerable? What's the serial number? If it's not RCM vulnerable and it has a supernag, then it is unhackable right now without a TX modchip.

Checked serial, no response on screen from RCM test and worked through the caffeine process and was greeted by the supernag. So yep I guess modchip it is. What's the best modchip and are they easy to install, dare I ask! Also what kind of functionality do they provide. Thx

OK, so I'm trying to setup emuMMC on my 256 GB microSD card following this guide, but the part where I have to... subtract it by 29856 MB from the total (which is 244015 MB, so this results in a 214160 MB aka 209 GB partition)? It's confusing the hell out of me. Does the first partition REALLY need to be this big? Compared to the screenshots (which shows their first partition as 579 MB, just a small percentage of the 32 GB card), this is a massive difference and I feel like I'm misreading this step.

I tried tinfoil and even that didnt worked.
Is it worth a try downgrading from 10.1.0 to 10.0.4? I was at 9.2.0 before updating

EDIT:
My issue is some games wont launch in 10.1.0 as they launched in 9.2.0. Had to update the firmware because of some games updates and dlcs.

There's no reason to downgrade. Did you properly update your signature patches?

The emuMMC partition should be 32GB. The data partition should be the rest.
