If it's a partition based emuMMC, then you need to transfer the emuMMC to an emuMMC partition on the new SD card.
Just use Awoo Installer instead.
The license is built into the SX Lite modchip itself.
Using the same account is not an issue as there have been no bans related to Nintendo accounts. And cartridges can be used with or without CFW. If you install updates for the cartridges, make sure it is the same region as the cartridge if applicable.
I have kept a low firmware switch since launch. I would like to know an estimate, or best guess when we will have a custom firmware to play backups without using a jig, or add on device. I only play offline and do not play any online games. I just want to load up a bunch of backups to a memory card and not have to worry about using tools, jigs, or mod chips.

If your system version is on 1.0.0, 2.0.0-3.0.0, or 4.0.1-4.1.0, then you can already load CFW without a jig, etc.
If your Switch is RCM vulnerable, you only need a jig once (a paperclip works nicely if bent properly). After that, you can install AutoRCM, and you won't need a jig ever again. You will still need a way to send an RCM payload to the Switch when coldbooting it, however. This can be mitigated by leaving it in sleep mode and docked when not using it (after sending a payload once to boot it into CFW). I honestly don't remember the last time I sent a payload to my Switch over USB. It was probably a year ago.
Aside from the RCM exploit and the above system versions, you cannot hack a Switch without a TX modchip. Other hacks may not be released for a long time, if ever. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting. I'd recommend hacking your Switch sooner rather than later so you can enjoy it.

Hey everyone! Got a few basic questions that will probably be more opinion-based answers that facts but I'd like any info possible. I should add that I'm proficient with soldering and programming/technical BS.
Ok, I'm very involved with exploiting other devices. I own and have modified/exploited most modern consoles. Every Playstation device, Wii, Android and Apple devices, etc.
However, I have zero experience with Switch exploitation. None. In fact, I only have a Switch Lite due to a wicked good deal on a brand new system and I've still barely played it. I want to mod it just to have a reason to use it, tbh. I like it but I find myself using my Vita more due to it being modified. Anyway....
My question:
Seeing as the only option for the Switch Lite is SXCore Lite, a hard mod that presents a lot of positives and apparently some negatives (or things to be wary of to avoid brick), should I wait for another method? I'm not in any hurry but I also would like to use my Switch Lite...ever.
Is there anything else being spoken about at all? I work on PS4 and Vita so I have a decent ear to the ground there but know next to nothing about the Switch scene. Looking into it just now it seems VERY robust but disjointed and full of info that contradicts other info. It's a lot of
"X works but avoid Y and Z if using X but not if using A and X but maybe if using B, C and X because..." stuff. There seems to be a ton of options but also none that come free of major issues or dependencies.
I gathered that the Switch Lite is probably not going to get a software method...maybe ever. At least anytime soon but I have no idea about a different hardmod coming down the pipe, etc.
Basically, does SXCore seem to be it for the Switch Lite for the foreseeable future or is anyone else waiting for a better solution?
Probably most importantly, is there anyone that has modded their Switch Lite here that wishes they didn't (for any reason I should know)? Be it a random brick or a desire to go back to stock FW/use again?

ok it's that time again. Need to update and need some clarification. I'm on sys and emu 9.0.1 can someone break down the step I need to do to update to 10.1 please? and doesn't updating break all my currently installed games? I'm all ready reading sig patches are stored differently. Is it just a matter of placing the patches in the right place and my current installed games will work?
I took it out and verified: yep it's FAT32.
Because it's FAT32 I'm also not able to load a 10GB image directly on it, and when I use FTP it gets messed up about half way through, just terminating and resuming the transfer until I cancel it from filezilla.
