As many I struggled to get my PS4pro CUH-7215B to work with any distro of linux out there on 6.72.
Here I will link the Kernel(s) that worked for me and you can then test them for your ps4 versions if the classic kernels listed bellow don't work (Crash/blackscreen...)

[Please share kernels and distros you find, I'll add them to this post. Thanks]

*First: Distros I found:
The one I use now and the best edition for now: (easy install of apps, vulkan ...)
- Catjaro PS4Linux. Manjaro 20.0.2 (Lysia):
Guide
Change Language to English
sudo nano /etc/local.conf then remove all text beside LANG=en_US.UTF-8 then ctrl+o enter ctrl-x and reboot
Fix update error with lib32-mesa-git
sudo echo -e "\n[ps4]\nSigLevel = Never\nServer = https://psxita.it/repo-testing" >> /etc/pacman.conf
then
sudo pacman -Syu
sudo pacman -S mesa-git lib32-libdrm-git lib32-mesa-git libdrm-git xf86-video-amdgpu-git
then
sudo pacman -Syu
yes to all and reboot
Password Login: ITmania
Download here
Installation is similar to psxitarch. Remember to rename the archive to psxitarch.tar.xz
[Install app stores: (don't use included app updater/installer its buggy and you might remove the recent driver patches)
- in terminal:
1/ flatpak
type sudo pacman -Sy flatpak
2/ appstore pages are here:
flatpak
just copy the install code bellow each app you want and run it in terminal ]

It's a PS4 Gentoo MOD - RetroArch at startup

- PS4gentoo
Guide
Download
*Second: Webhosts to start the linux distro
- I use AlAzif DNS host to load sucessfuly my Baikal distro on 6.72
And
- Leeful Hen or 672v5
[!Remember only choose jailbreak then linux. No mira or Hen preload!]

*Third: Kernels out there: (replace bzimage on the first fat32 partition of 200mb on the usb HDD/USBstick)
- ps4-sources 5.3.7 + Bikal patches by iguy0
Download

- kernel 5.3.18-ITmania
Download

*Fourth: Tested working kernel(s) for my PS4pro on 6.72 I [ found/was offered to test ]:
(replace bzimage on the first fat32 partition of 200mb on the usb HDD/USBstick)
- Kernel 5.3.7 Gentoo gc41cdf12d-dirty shared by and thanks to @ThePro1991 on Reddit
Download
[For now my PS4 Gentoo MOD Linux works on 6.72 but without wifi and Bluetooth but LAN works]
I will post results with other distros as soon as I test some other distros

Thanks again to everyone making this possible on new PS4 pros on 6.72

Cheers

[Please share kernels and distros you find, I'll add them to this post. Thanks]
PS: for those who want my linux fat32 content is here

of course on ps4pro before runing linux resolution is set to 1080p, limited rgb, no supersampling and in system no hdcp no hdmi device link.

Hi,
I have CUH-7216B version os PS4 PRO. I tried every of these baikal chip kernels. Unfortunately I don't have WiFi, LAN and bluetooth connection (tried Gentoo, PSITARCH and Catjaro). Do you know if there is a kernel for my model that could enable at least lan/wifi? Without these I can't do anything. I tried USB dongle but also I wasn't able to enable internet connection.

I'm trying to install Catjaro PS4Linux. Manjaro 20.0.2 (Lysia) on a ps4 pro cuh-7215b fw 6.72 + alzif dns or leeful v5.

my problem I can't find a working kernel.

I tried with the Kernel 5.3.7 Gentoo gc41cdf12d-dirty is the console does not display any tv souce and the led of the console remains white

With the kernel 5.3.7 + baykal
the console boot but it displays the error no such file or directory

with the original kernel the console does not display any source.

can you help me?

Since it boots and displays "console boot but it displays the error no such file or directory" it means the loader couldnt find the files in the fat32 partiton. Something doesnt work on your end like the usb drive or its configuration.
I tried finding more kernels but didnt find any yet.

I have TP-Link TL-WN823 V3 with rtl8192 chip. It was not working out of the box. I tried to install the drivers from the manufacturer’s site and it didn’t work. Maybe I should try different dongle or different kernel?

I don't think a different kernel would make any difference, support for rtl8192 was added long time ago. I have an el-cheapo rtl8192 802.11n 300 mbs WiFi adapter that I take with me for emergencies.

In your case I would download a live distribution, like Kali, and test it on a PC. Also, I would check if the "rtl8192cu" is loaded when the adapter is plugged-in ("lsmod | grep rtl").

I've checked here and it doesn't look like it's loading a firmware blob (like for example the iwlwifi)...

I had the same problem with a ps4 fat cuh-1004b the problem came from the loader and not from the kernel. What port do you plug your usb key into? I absolutely want to take advantage of linux I hope to find the solution. If someone can help us I have the impression that the edv have abandoned the ps4 7115b 7215b because on the other model no concern.

I will try to change the usb key or test on an external hdd.

I tried on an usb3 stick and now use an ssd drive instead always on slot1. For loader I use al azif baikal patched linux loader. for kernel the only one that worked is "Kernel 5.3.7 Gentoo gc41cdf12d-dirty" and for the distribution, 2 worked for me:
best is "Catjaro PS4Linux. Manjaro 20.0.2 (Lysia)" as long as you follow the fixed written there to enable easy package install.
and PepeCobain75 PS4 Gentoo MOD - RetroArch at startup
And i forgot. Running mira unoficial unstead of hen might be better.

thank you for your response friend :). I bought an ssd and I have progressed a bit in my investigations. I still have the no such file or directory error and the kernel does not launch the modules. I used the source Kernel 5.3.7 + baykal from iguy0 which displays the error no such file or directory but I noticed that by typing the installation line exec install--psxitarch.sh Linux is still installed with l error no such file or directory. After installation linux this launches but no WiFi no lan no bt. When starting Linux I noticed that it could not load the ps4 modules. I am looking for a way to install a WiFi key. Or modify the bzimage to load the correct module. Can you upload us to. Bzimage because I have a cuh7215b like you and it doesn't react like yours. I will test with mira unofficiel. Thanks à lot for tour help.

I added my far32 partition on linux content on the main post and here
Hopefully its the initramfs.cpio.gz on your end that didnt work.

Has anyone successfully gotten wifi / bluetooth to work on a 6.72 pro? I have a 7215b model. I have many usb dongles that also do not work and I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that no kernel modules are being loaded during boot.

I would be happy with just bluetooth or BT over usb dongle working as there are wireless to ethernet solutions out there.. But to not be able to use my ps4 controller really puts a damper on the practicality of PS4 linux.

If anyone is able to provide a working solution I will gladly venmo you $50 because I have been obsessing over this for weeks with no luck.

I have tried several exploit / bz images... Manjaro is by far my favorite distro.

Thanks and good luck!

How do you fix this graphical issue after updating with
sudo pacman -Syu
sudo pacman -S mesa-git lib32-libdrm-git lib32-mesa-git libdrm-git xf86-video-amdgpu-git
sudo pacman -Syu
