PLOT TWIST

I ran henkaku and it turns out SD2VITA is working on my current firmware.

When I tried running henkaku before it crashed, but I didn't realise - that's why I didn't think it had been the problem.

All apps are working now and I can install games.
I checked in Vitashell and 25GB has been written to my SD.
So as it turns out, SD2VITA does work on current firmware.

Yes you're correct to my knowledge as well. Still, I wanted to try SD2VITA before downgrading

I'm trying to follow the tutorial here

The first step it mentions is you have to disable all plugins but I can't find how to do that, do I have to uninstall completely? How do I know I've removed all plugins? I don't remember what I've installed.

I beleive calling the tai folder anything else eg tai1 taia then it won't load plugins also holding L at boot stops plugins loading. You can manually uninstalled them and I think auto plugins can too but that will take much longer

Yeah but careful with that two config can crash a GPU apparently from what I read although this may only occur once you instal additonal plugins

that is untrue. the ux0 is a safeguard in case ur0 is corrupted or the system is unaccessible. you're only other option is to restore the system to wipe everything. it will be recreated then. I know this firsthand.

Thanks guys.

Man I wish I was a vita expert, but I've hit another snag.

In the video, he uses "uma0" folder, I don't have such folder showing in FTP.

He also mentioned it could brick the vita if I don't follow the steps correctly, so I don't want to risk getting it wrong :D

I assume uma0 is now you vita Mc and your ux is sd to vita. Try go to vita shell press triangle and see if mount uma0 is a option of it says connect USB device then reboot and it should appear

Edit just realise did you mean just not showing on the ftp program? If so go to windows Explorer and turn of view hidden files

I also didn't have uma0. So I used the memory card slot

Okay so check this for me. You should have storage manager config txt in tai folder open it and see if you have this
Gcd=ux0
Mcd=uma0
If you don't have the second line add it to the txt and then reboot you should be able to use Uma0. Some people remove it I'm not sure why

First, let me clarify that SD2VITA is now disabled and I checked, the SD card is not showing on my Vita, so it disabled correctly.

This is what I've got

https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuZWDL9

File contents of config.txt -----

# For users plugins, you must refresh taiHEN from HENkaku Settings for
# changes to take place.
# For kernel plugins, you must reboot for changes to take place.
*KERNEL
# henkaku.skprx is hard-coded to load and is not listed here
*main
# main is a special titleid for SceShell
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx
*NPXS10015
# this is for modifying the version string
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx
*NPXS10016
# this is for modifying the version string in settings widget
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx

Yeah that's the henkaku config txt your looking for one that is specifically for storage manager also it seems like you have no plugins installed so I'm confused are you using sd to vita?

Looking at a written guide you might have to make it yourself on notepad or somthing. Call the file storage manager.txt and put this inside
'Ux0=GCD
Uma0=MCD'
Save and copy that into tai folder
Editedit this is a different file to config.txt completely

I was using SD2VITA but I disabled it (disabled all plugins for downgrade as instructed in tutorial I'm using).

I disabled by resetting the config.

But my understanding is Storage Manager is also a plugin, shouldn't I be disabling plugins rather than using them? Or is this a plugin I use to fix some problem and then I disable it?
