@Hakaisha glad it fixed your problem. but I believe there's still one minor problem. if you have no background music and you select one song (not a playlist) and then turn on 48k upsample it will stop the song and not restart it. just a minor issue - maybe i can find a solution.

Hmm, I wonder... this could possibly be related.

I've noticed that if you only have 1 song placed in wiiflow/music, WiiFlow will not display the title of the song (up in the left corner on Rhapsodii) when it starts to play. And it will continue to not show song titles, even if you select a playlist after that. You must have at least 2 song files placed in wiiflow/music to start seeing song titles correctly.

A singular song seemingly disables WiiFlow's ability to show song titles.

This logic can also apply to playlist files. A playlist with only one song will not display song Titles, and it also similarly seems to disable WiiFlow's ability to render song Title displays beyond that, even if a playlist with multiple songs is selected.

In my situation, I keep no song files in wiiflow/music, only playlist files. The song titles work correctly in this environment, as long as the selected playlist contains 2 or more songs.

I believe so, but not sure if it is 70 or 80? maybe both? ModMii patches both IOS so hopefully that is the method @xLAKITUx used to softmod.

Yeah, I used ModMii and I semi-recently (within the past year) took a SysCheck and let ModMii update any IOS it detected, so I think I should be totally good.

Just to clarify, even with all the homebrew/WiiFlow stuff on my SD card, I can still transfer channels in the legit Wii menu to SD without the use of a separate SD card, correct?

Guys, i made the plunge. I finally updated to wiiflow lite... and it's facking amazing!! Really impressed with everything. The functionality, the databases, tetsuo's theme, load times...

Just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work in making this beautiful loader, and to anyone else who's contributed.

@Tetsuo Shima @Hakaisha and everyone else.

5.4.7 beta 4 test - https://www.mediafire.com/file/mf0qjyw8uh2h46o/wfl_5.4.7_bet_4.zip/file

- added wiiflow/covers/homebrew_small folder so when using homebrew smallbox mode you can use your own custom covers instead of the apps icon.png
- fixed music resample to 48k option on main settings to not crash wiiflow if only one song file in wiiflow music folder.
- fixed displaying music title when you only have one music file in wiiflow music folder.
- fixed saving and loading enabled plugins upon exit and startup. This stops the "no plugins selected" message upon returning to wiiflow when you previously used the Select Plugin Menu.
- fixed custom backgrounds after using the Select Plugin Menu.
- fixed the Source Menu to display source buttons properly when switching tiers or pages.
- fixed refershing Source Menu buttons after usign the options menu to hide them.

@fledge68 , test results for Beta 4 so far.

- Custom homebrew covers are working great!
- Music resample setting is no longer producing code dumps under any circumstance I've tried.
- Single song placed in wiiflow/music shows the song title once, then will loop without showing it again. Song titles are once again visible upon choosing a playlist, rather than being disabled by the presence of the single song.

@fledge68 I just started diving into the new 4.4.7 beta adds & WOW, this is spectacular. Never ceases to amaze me how you keep improving this already full featured loader, Thank You sincerely. Now @Tetsuo Shima has released his plugin pack, I'm beginning to clean up alot of older backup folders, files, magic numbers & other loose ends. I keep updated with most everything but after trying tier & wheel again for the 3-4 time, I just cannot shake it & prefer the old simplified source. Just wanted to say, I hope you never get rid of simplified source.

By simplified I assume you mean source menu with the 12 buttons per page? I'm not getting rid of it.

Edit 2: Thought it over and realized this wasn't the best place to post this. There's a better explanation of the issue here. Sorry for the annoyance/inconvenience! Link: https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-gre...l-for-adventurers.563575/page-15#post-9185931

I'm still having the problem with the new.dol. I play an nes game, switch to snes, and "no source selected" shows again. Is it just me?

Edit: Did some more testing. Everything is working fine except Genesis. I only have Atari 2600, Genesis, NES and SNES. And all the plugins load and do what they should except for Genesis.

Any thoughts? Is there a file I can delete to make WiiFlow recreate it?

Speaking of music funny you mention it, sometimes depending on the music file it makes distorted sounds when it plays, maybe it related to the soundblocks within wiiflow lite.

I have no idea. @Hakaisha says that mp3's sometimes give her problems so she likes to use ogg format.

Hi, I just moved from the very old version 4.4.0 to the 5.4.6 and now vWii freezes on black screen when I try run any game and I need to unplug the console from power

[Edit]
I moved to 5.4.7 beta 4, forced cIOS loading and it works again.

I have no idea. @Hakaisha says that mp3's sometimes give her problems so she likes to use ogg format.

To elaborate, MP3 files are unfortunately not very reliable to use with WiiFlow's music player.

MP3 files have a hit or miss behavior with WiiFlow. Sometimes they can work okay. Other times they will create issues.

MP3 files can often:
- create lag in WiiFlow's performance (especially if coverflow has FSAA X8 applied)
- play slowly (real deep voices, sounds, it's eery)
- outright not play at all
- cause WiiFlow to freeze/code dump
- make that loud glitch sound that sounds like Satan's electronic exorcism, and gives me a heart attack every single time.

I still haven't been able to pinpoint a specific reason why this is. You'd think there would be specific bitrate ranges that could reliably create the issues, and specific bitrates that remedy the issues. Typically, higher and lower bitrates. But alas, the MP3 issues more often still present themselves regardless of high or low bit rate.

OGG is the only format I have been able to reliably and comfortably use with WiiFlow's music player, and not have to worry about potential issues arising during playback.

If anyone wants to use WiiFlow's music player, I highly recommend converting your music files to OGG format. They still sound great, take up less space, and remedy the aforementioned issues.

I personally use NCH Switch Audio Converter to batch convert my FLAC/MP3 files to OGG vorbis format at quality 5-6.

here's a quick beta 5 download. seams i missed a fix in beta 4 that tetsuo pointed out.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/r4zylklg1qqgr2s/wfl+5.4.7+beta+5.zip/file

if you used the source menu setup and linked source buttons to plugins you need to check the source menu ini you changed. the magic= line for the buttons you changed may start off with a comma and repeat the magic number. it doesn't seem to cause any noticeable issues but should be fixed none the less. you should reset those source buttons with beta 5 to fix the magic= line for each button.

how to put the homebrew_ small not understand that. thanks awesome work
normally when viewing homebrew apps in smallbox mode wiiflow will use the apps icon.png for the cover image.
if you don't want to use the icon.png and you have your own small cover image you just need to place them in wiiflow/covers/homebrew_small folder. name them the same as the folder name of the homebrew app plus .png.
you may need to delete the wiiflow/cache/homebrew folder so wiiflow will use the new covers.

I am sorry as this is probably the wrong place to ask this but I am currently trying to get the music_player plugin working to play playlists with wiiflow lite(latest version). However I dont think I have the correct files or knowledge to do so and was wondering if you guy s would be able to help at all. I know you all discussed this topic here on page-54, but none of the mediafire files are there anymore it seems and I think I may need some of what was there. I would love to get something close to what Hakaisha had done since it looks so cool! Thankyou for any help!!

@FrostedWheats , the mediafire links posted by @fledge68 on page 54 of this thread contained beta builds of WiiFlow for testing. The music playlist feature that was added to those beta builds still exists in the current and latest WiiFlow release. So there is no need for those old files.

Tell us more details about what you're experiencing, and where the conflicts are.

- Are you currently able to view your music files in coverflow, and scroll through them? And select them to play them?
- If so, are your playlist files appearing in the coverflow?
- How are you creating your playlist files, and where are you placing them?

Might i add that maybe he just needs the update music_player plugin ini that hakaisha posted here - https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-gre...l-for-adventurers.563575/page-15#post-9183079

Gotcha! that makes a lot more sense now. And I yeah I think the updated music_player plugin ini is what I was missing. I was never able to even get my songs/playlists to appear in coverflow so ill try this out later and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks again!
