I wanted to start playing Pokémon and transfer them with pokemon home, but do I risk getting banned with a pirated copy? And if I do, will I risk the ban if I buy the game but on a hacked 3ds? Or do I have to use a normal one
So do I have to buy the games or not?Unless you use cheats while playing online, there's no risk of getting banned while using a 3DS console with CFW.

Pokémon home doesn’t work with 3ds.
Pokémon bank runs on 3ds, home is for the switch and mobile phones.
You can use bank on 3ds and move any mons to home from there and using bank will work with your illegitimate games.
But home will not work with illegitimate games as you’ll likely get banned for using them and your switch would be useless online afterwards. But bank will take most of anything you throw at it.
