I am waiting quite impatiently right now. I am tired of the "battery" in my "RCMLoader" dying in a few days...

Join the discord by clicking the image in my sig, that way you will be able to know when the next lot go on sale sooner - currently waiting on injection molding but then there should be a sale

Anything?

There is nothing on sale at the moment on the dragoninjector website, you can follow this thread or the follow the discord channel given in the signature of the opening post. There was a V20 in development but due to the pandemic it has been slow down.

This finally dead already?
It was never dead. Only sold out always.

MatinatorX has been busy with his day job taking most of his time, along with the slowed production and shipping from china, when there is something to report it will be made known

That's too bad. At least HDMI out on Switch Lite is good news. Honestly, allowing HDMI output with a separately purchased dock would have been a good idea from Nintendo, even if it was just limited to 720p. Even if you're an exclusively handheld player, sometimes you have friends over and you just want to play some multiplayer Smash or Mario Kart. Not catering to those people was a bad move from Nintendo. They would have made more money from selling JoyCons and docks too. And all it takes is a $1.40 chip (the USB/DP matrix switch, checked on DigiKey) to enable docked mode. So the lower price of the Switch Lite doesn't justify the omission.
Because the smaller size of the Switch Lite makes it better for on the go use, I would be a big fan of the idea if it still had the *option* of docked play, but omitting it completely just makes it a worse Switch to me.

I wonder if this chip could be soldered into a Switch Lite to get 1080p docked mode back. In theory it should be possible as the same SoC is used in the red box Switch so both the SoC and firmware are capable. That is something @MatinatorX should look into before going ahead with the 720p only idea.
Chip is listed here although not in stock: https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=PI3USB30532
But they should be easy enough to find in stock elsewhere as they are used for Switch repairs.
For that matter, it doesn't even need to be that specific chip. As long as the 1080p video out is available from the SoC pins (which it should be, being the same SoC as the red box Switch and the same firmware), any MyDP chip should work. Using that specific one would just allow existing Switch docks to work, including the official one if partially disassembled or put into another case.
Or it should even be possible to go with the micro HDMI idea and wire it directly to the 1080p video output. But using a MyDP chip would allow it to work through the USB-C port without needing to mod the case which is obviously a lot neater.
Thinking about it, I'm about 80% sure that it should be possible to get 1080p video output out of the Switch Lite, so there is very little reason to do it the other way and MITM the LCD screen. It's largely the same hardware as the red box Switch after all and all the important parts except for the PI3USB chip seem to be there, and it runs the exact same firmware.
It may require modding the firmware as there might be a switch that disables the 1080p video output on that particular model of Switch, which obviously makes it unsuitable for legit use so it's not a perfect solution. But it sure would be nice to have the option. If that is the case then it would be nice to have a switch to select between 720p and 1080p output, using 720p only in OFW. Would obviously increase cost and complexity but 100% worth the tradeoff.
Not that being stuck with 720p is all that bad since you can force docked mode clocks to run the games at the same performance as docked mode (and many games don't run at more than 720p in docked mode anyways), but if 1080p is at all possible, that would be the ultimate solution.

Sad to hear the news. Thanks for posting it here.

I understand Nintendo wants to protect their copyright, but their demands are too greedy and dangerous to the freedom of innovation:
"The complete identities and contact information of your supplier(s) and the manufacturer(s) of the DragonInjector devices, including documentary proof thereof" - why the hell would they have anything to do with this? This is just non-sense.

"A full accounting, including all supporting documentation, of your revenues and profits from the sale of the DragonInjector devices, so that we may make an informed determination as to the suitable compensation to be paid to our client in the orders, commercial invoices, bills of lading, catalogs, archived webpages, Internet offerings, advertisements, any payments made to your supplier(s) or manufacturer(s) of the DragonInjector devices via cheque, wire transfer, money order, PayPal, etc. and all email messages or any other correspondence to or from, and/or notes taken with, your supplier(s) and the manufacturer(s) of the DragonInjector devices" - it is clear the project was made out of passion, and not to make money from it. They demand compensation from the sole individual in order to further the consequences, and make an example! The outcome alone is just and enough. Yet there will be always other injectors which fortunately they won't be able to stop all. Also this is another attempt to exploit the situation to threaten suppliers who have nothing to do with this, by requesting all their information.

They would look better if they demanded just enough to terminate the activity of DragonInjector, but they always have to take things further, which in my opinion just makes Nintendo careless of its own customers. The more they do, to hurt people who are passionate about their products, the worse they look imo.

Since this happened, I hope the community will pick this up (perhaps even TX) to continue its development.

Wish @MatinatorX all the best in his future endeavours. Passion always wins! :)

I wonder if one of these could be sent to China for reproduction
China already makes other injectors, which are also cheaper, such as the RCMLoader One, or NS-Atmosphere. Granted, the DragonInjector was a better design, but this has never been a chinese priority.

Nintendo wants to make an example with this. And also it's easier to target someone located in Canada, than some chinese maker.

Yes i know about the other injectors.
The design of the Dragoninjector was so much better and easier to carry

Seems like I was right after all. Man, it really sucks that Nintendo has to wait until projects are almost finished before they send their lawyers. They must have known about the project since it's been a proof of concept, why wait for years after hours of work and lots of money went into it before shutting it down... I guess they just want to cause as much harm as possible so you never get the idea to do anything in that direction ever again.
