Once more with the titles that describe what we are after.
What was your first time being drunk like or if it was just a matter of drinking as a kid, falling asleep and waking up with a sore head then we are also doing notable early drinking stories wherein something more amusing happened.
Better go first. First actual drink was probably about 5 when I had a sip of my dad's beer when on holiday. Tasted awful and that was that. Had beer, spirits and wine in various sauces, cakes and glazes before that and since but most of the alcohol is burned off in those so that does not count.
Other than the odd shandy before then I took up drinking in earnest around 14 (being in the UK 18 is the time you can buy as much as you have money for of any percentage you like, and that happens in corner shops and supermarkets, at the time most did not care either or there was one that did not care or there was a junkie you could "keep the change" to. Equally if you are with an adult a beer or wine or maybe cider (something not spirits basically) can be had with a meal in a restaurant). Mostly just the odd beer, cider (all cider is alcoholic in the UK unless otherwise stated -- no alcohol means you have fizzy apple juice, or maybe pear juice) or whatever was around, in the evenings with friends, or if we decided to skip a lesson (who needs PE and the drama from that when there is GTA and beer?) and play some games we might have a beer as well). School trips, various nights and whatever else we usually managed to find something more and bring that along to share.
First was boring. 15, going on 16. Being buzzed was nothing new but straight drunk took more funds than most of us would be able to muster. Still it was probably around Christmas or New Year's day so we had a lot more to go around. Very wobbly, could not skateboard as well as when sober so we went back to a mate's house and watched a video/played some computer games.
Various other times alone (somehow ended up with some bottles of Bacardi rum and thought I would see how much I could do in a night, said bottles I would give to a younger sibling and that ended up with someone's stomach being pumped) and with others (late night round someone's house, or maybe starting in a field/on a park).
Most interesting from the early days. 17 going on 18 so friends already had driving tests and tickets to buy stuff with it. Parents away on holiday and we all went to mine (nothing unusual -- most of us probably only returned to our houses on Fridays and Saturdays with others or to get changed at some point before doing it all again the next night). Loaded up the fridge big style (courtesy of the odd job, birthday and whatever we had money worth speaking of at this point) and proceeded to get sloshed. I spewed big style (first and only time) so ended up doing washing at 3am while still very drunk and my friends buggered off. Haven't really been drunk since, and don't actually drink really (no objection, just does nothing for me and makes for a cheap night out), did also mean the only booze I had during university was that which I had for Guinness steak (not buying booze and skipping nights out meant I could afford things like nice steak on occasion).
Or yes I am a terrifically boring bastard when all is said and done.
