Hi im having trouble with getting ysmenu to work on my old r4i v1.4 card i i tried the r4i-sdhc file as that is the website for the official loader but they don't seem to work. Anyone have any ideas if the card is compatible?

Hello.
I followed the steps for installing ysmenu on an R4SDHC.
I tried launching it, but all I get is a white screen and a red folder icon with a question mark and "Menu" written in it.
There's no error code for me to look up.

Is there anyone who got problem with Golden Sun? I mostly end up with black screen after the dev logo... Sometimes I got into the intro but then the game will freeze...

Hi guys,

I have a dstti red and i used to play all games with ysmenu.nds. I had the folders YSMENU, TTMENU, TTMENU.dat and YSMENU.nds. However, i stopped playing dsi and i formatted my cart.

Now when im trying to play again, i cant... I tried all with the new upgrades, but it doesnt work. I dont know what im doing wrong.

Could anyone help me?

There'ss a minor (but unfortunate) bug with YSMenu that does not exist with TTMenu and it's a real shame. I'm certain it is something that can be resolved with access to the source.

Tested with two DSTT clones and a r4isdhc card. Some games stutter briefly at very specific points, often in the startup sequences. Two examples are Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (as title video finishes when Soma draws the magic seal) and Elite Beat Agents.(at the end of the last phase of the tutorial just before Agent Kahn says "Agents Are..Gooo"). It's a minor issue but irritating since it doesn't happen with the otherwise inferior TTMenu.

This is amazing! I have a R4i SDHC RTS Lite from 2014 and I'm now running a dual kernel (Original R4i kernel + YS Menu kernel), with the YS Menu as a primary boot.

What is the best card for this menu with a ds lite? I already have an old r4 clone but I want to take a new one because I'm afraid it will break (sometimes it freezes).

They're all the same. However, if you're looking for a new card, why not get one with a proper kernel instead?
You should get a R4i Gold 3DS Plus, which comes with Wood R4 1.64, the best kernel out there

Is anyone able to get this to work with the ez flash 3 in 1?

Games like Pokemon FireRed and get a white screen unless they're sram patched. If they are patched, it says the save is corrupted, but seems to load and save fine.

Metroid Zero Mission and Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland save and load fine without patching.

None of the saves generated by YSMenu are compatible with emulators.

GBAExploader works fine, but I'd rather use YSMenu if possible.

Also, does it really have a RTS menu?

Hi everybody. Can anyone help me? I can not load Metal Max 3 (english patched) on my r4 gold pro, both with his kernel and ysmenu: first one gives me white screens and corrupts SD card, second one gives an error but i can reboot. Is there a sort of protection? If so, is there an a.p. patch that i can apply on the rom? Is ysmenu not updated to run this game? Thanks in advance

I recently bought the same R4 card, it hasn't arrived yet but I'll test it when I receive from delivery. I'm going to test the regular r4isdhc kernel and this version of ysmenu 7.06.
Unluckly I lost my old R4 Gold Plus RTS (Wood Kernel) the one I loved so much, and it also stopped selling on the country I'm actually living.
I'm going to test my old gamelist that I used to create a backup on MEGA, containing every single game, music and video file... (Including the game I used to partial translate, Digimon Lost Evolution, a dubbed and hacked version of it)
Thank u @retrogamefan for this incredible thing you've made for the ones holding DSTT fake cards...

Hello @retrogamefan I used to test a bit of your amazing software... but I had some problems with those games...

- Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2011 Over the Nexus (Japan) [no trim, no ap patch], also I patched the clean ROM with .ips file inside another homebrew (TWiLight Menu++) and same problem...

and a TRANSLATED version of the game I hacked...
- Digimon Lost Evolution (Japan)

I runned both Yu-Gi-Oh! and my very own version of Digimon with the original kernel of R4i-sdhc (4.0) [Gold] but couldn't with your YSmenu...

Have you tried with TTmenu?

How about WFWD?

Have you tried to uncompress the rom?

How about that converter that changes roms so they run in particular flashcards?
