They've already ported every other Wii U game, that ship sailed a long time ago, might as well embrace it now.
I didn't like the game. Good music, sure, but little incentive to replay it or beat the final boss, which was a very weak and anticlimactic final battle. Sorry not sorry.
The incentive to beat the final boss is that you unlock like 4 more huge worlds with some decent difficulty to them. Some of the best levels in the game.

Didn't get to the end of 3D World (yet), but yeah this is standard for modern era Mario games, they make it easy enough to "finish" so most people can do it, then add the real challenge in the post-game. Odyssey was fun but not that challenging most of the way through, but a lot of the post-game was totally whoreish :grog:

Oof, that must feel awful, huh Sneethan?? Not only were your baseless claims proved unfounded, but they were directly contradicted as well!

Yeah... nintendo and this thread proved me wrong big time. They might bring it out next year. Anyway, what are your thoughts on the direct rumor on the 17th? i hope that happens as i just bought a switch.

Better not port Super Mario Bros to the switch just in case someone thinks it's an 8 bit console from the 80s.
Oh wait...

Its a flawed premise that doesn't check out. One specific Wii U game wont get ported to the Switch just so people don't recognize the system for being full of Wii U ports? I think it's a bit too late to stop people from feeling that way now. Having just announced Pikmin 3 Deluxe does the theory no favors either. I'm not gonna sit here and say definitively that 3D World is headed to Switch, but if I were a betting man, I'd call it a very safe bet to assume that it is indeed on the way sooner or later to Switch.

you do realize that the switch is the same project as the wii u right?
Im surprised the gamepad didnt display Thanks for the betatest, suckers!! after they announced the switch.

look back and look at the literal first prototype of the wii u, its a screen with two wiimotes attached.

also, of course theyre going to port more games to the switch, no one bought the damn wii u! ( i blame the braindead marketing, having it rushed because of the ps4 release and because they crippled it completely by lowering specs immensely on release. )
youre insane if you think peoples opinion is going to stop nintendo now
if nintendo gave a hoot about anything the customers said, they wouldnt have cheapen out the costs of the switch and released it on another beta.

Not as much as games like arms and splatoon 2.
I asked about MK8 on Wii U, because if it did get advertised a lot back then, then shouldn't that be an example with what can happen to a port to Switch? We got MK8D very early, and look at how well it sold.

Systems nowadays get ports of older games because honestly, developing new games takes a lot more time and require bigger budgets than it used to, and in cases like the Wii U, most people never got to experience those games. Why should a game like SM3DW stay locked to a dead console?
